She was going to follow them from a distance and reveal herself at Haven with the offer to help them along...let down their guard and accept her so Ruby might finally apologize for Roman's death. With Cinder dead as well, that seemed the best course of action. What wasn't supposed to happen was one of them catching her in the act beforehand. So now the much smaller Neo had the blonde pinned to a tree, the sharpened tip of Hush to his throat.

But it wasn't like he could understand her. Only Roman seemed capable of translating Neo's expressions and body language. Asking this stranger to suddenly have those skills was probably too much. She slowly lowered the blade, hoping it'd make her intention clear.
