His whole form was still made up of flame with no form to truly call his own any longer, nor a connection with Yugi through the puzzle so he could take control and deliver justice this time. This form seemed to terrify that viper of a woman anyway, good. But she didn't hold his attention. His flaming eyes turned instead to the injured body of his partner who seemed to be struggling to stay conscious.
The sight both concerned him and had the thunder roaring and shaking the ground all over again while the flames that made up his form danced hotter and more wildly. But these flames were as divine as the man turned God himself, they would only burn who he wanted to burn. Not even smoky footprints were left as he began to advance, his goal, his partner.
The cage that held the hikari and the shackles binding him disintegrated under his will allowing Atemu easy passage. He knelt there beside him, setting a flaming hand that wouldn't burn but would warm on the boy's head.
"I'm here, aibou. I'm sorry I took so long," he said, voice soft. "You're going to be alright now."
