There was this ‘christmas special’ cartoon and I think it was the “”””origin”””” of Santa. It was after 1997 Ibelieve. Maybe even up to 2000. I dont know if it was ever remembered fondly.

So Pre-Santa Santa was a toymaker and he just up and gives a wooden toy to ‘this kid’ who is like, to represent the common poor kid.

now, despite MANY children being featured in the cartoon, ‘this’ one was like ‘the mascot’ or something?????????? not a MAIN character.. like a running gag SCRAT or some shit.

However, this ‘child’ was like a gormless, caricature, horrible, .. take a bashful dwarf from Snow White and put him through the generic machine.

As I said, this COO COO JAR JAR PLASTIC MAN CHILD was PROMINENTLY featured. A mute, happy to get a present. OF COURSE I CRIED.

but why

I know WHY

it’s the ‘every child’, a play doh, non human, unidentifiable mess.

It just bothered me, art wise.

Another christmas memory i have was a childrens book roughly 1984-1987 where mr.s claus made SANTA COOKIES and they came alive and it was a problem and there were all these tiny misshapen SANTAS and I love it and i wish i never lost that book. If you give me that book i’ll Post-Corona you in the Yes, Prime Ministers.
