ℭ𝔥𝔞𝔭𝔱𝔢𝔯 10.5: 𝒜 ℜ𝔢𝔳𝔬𝔩𝔱𝔦𝔫𝔤 ℜ𝔢𝔞𝔩𝔦𝓏𝔞𝔱𝔦𝔬𝔫

𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕞𝕒𝕪 𝕗𝕚𝕟𝕕…652 words, really short and stupid probably, yuu is pining for a he/they guy but is still pan and not just gay, its 4 am im fucking tired okay 

ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕣𝕒𝕔𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕤 𝕚𝕟𝕔𝕝𝕦𝕕𝕖𝕕: Yuusaku, Shota, (ace, Deuce, Grim)

𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕚𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕 𝕚𝕤 𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘? Students at Night Raven start to find themselves enamored by a sophomore Yuu seems  to hang around, what's with this faceless nobody? Many seem determined to find out...

To learn someone is to love them.

There's a few people that he knows well, and by association, loves well. 

He loves Ace Trappola, even when he's being annoying.

And Deuce Spade…his intentions are in the right place. 

Grim, too….for such a jerk, he’s essentially a child, needing guidance in the world.

He knows some others, yeah, but not in the way he knows them.

….though, if he must admit it, he doesn't know anyone like he knows Shota. Shota is a shy boy…quiet, otaku-ish, generally pretty average. Shota has one thing that sets him apart from an average loner, however…

Shota has Yuusaku.

They've been together since they were young. 

Yuusaku takes it upon himself to lead Shota, to show them the world. He taught Shota how to skateboard, to climb trees, to rebel…

Yuusaku, never having anything better to do, loved going out at night to meet him. Back when he first got a new board, he lost control of it and tore right through his knees. It was in front of a car, no less, and he was so embarrassed that he took the board and ran the rest of the way to Shota’s house. 

Shota was faint at all the blood, but nursed him all the same, fretting over him while scolding him as they applied the bandaids. It was sweet, addicting, even. To be coddled and cared for. That day, and he’d never forget it, Yuu learned how nice it was to be on the receiving end for once. 

And so he let Shota coddle him. Yuu grew to be careless and irresponsible so he would have a reason to take Shota with him. Soon, his best friend started to emerge from his shell, grow to be their own person, even wanting to play rough now! It was a success, Yuu thought! His best friend, his family, who he had spent so many years with! On his fifteenth birthday, he went to Shota’s house like usual. Shota’s parents let them have a little party together and he stayed long after everyone else left. 

Yuu was only teasing Shota, but a pillow war started anyway. 

Years of proximity meant that Shota learned to counter Yuu in many ways, predict his moves, dodge them, and counter them with a strength born from frequent arm wrestling. Though…they were still too weak in the end.

Aha! Triumph and success!! Yuusaku thought, pinning him down, knees on either side of Shota’s chest. He held Shota’s hands down, feeling his pulse through his wrists. 

…

But then he jumped back, a dawn of horror on his face for a moment, scrambling off Shota and moving to shuffle the deck of cards on the table. 

Shota sat up weird, made a weird face at him too, one of pure confusion and a bit of concern. 

“Why’d you stop? Are you okay?” He gently touched his friend’s arm.

Yuusaku shrugged it off dismissively. 

“I’m okay,” he insisted. 

Yuu knew it was flimsy, but he didn't really care. His heart was pounding, head was spinning, and he just wanted it to go away. 

That feeling, he means. 

…

Y’know, the one where your mind takes a picture of a sight in front of you and you realize just how cute your best friend looks pinned beneath you? A-And you have to stop because you guys are…family! Family doesn't think of each other that way…

…and then you mull it over. 

You ponder it, marinate in it, contemplate for a long few days on it.

…did he ever believe him and Shota were just friends? 

Secretly, was he hoping for more? Were all those things about being married, playing house, partnering together, going on vacation…were they casual? Or did he, deep in his mind, yearn for a real connection?

…

He knows everything about Shota.

He loves Shota wholeheartedly.

What if……he never sees them again?

I had ZERO intention of writing this, i was mid chapter 11 when i went out today and this happened to come to me in a vision so u KNOW i had to whip that shit out and type it up for yall
