ok so Scott is a purebred because he's Rich Boy... I imagine most other cast members are just domestic shorthair/longhairs but with some potentially Funky Genes that aren't really in the majority of regular cat populations today. Purebred cats r very rare nowadays but however long ago vsmp was theyd probably be like, barely emerging/just then being created. So fun nod there idk Maybe abolish would be, he gives off rich-background vibes as well/playing into a "ive had a job my entire life" angle with a service breed might make sense. He could also be a maine coon with that mentality tbh. maybe I should've made scott a fancier breed instead... lol oh well Martyn might be half-purebred and he uses that to play up his rich background? or he just happens to look like a specific breed and uses it to his advantage lol Anyway! I decided making the stage 3 look be just full white fur would be boring bcuz they don't exactly have clothes to dress up in in order to contrast that. Instead I figured they just...loose a certain amnt of pigment! So technically the genes for stage 3 aren't really accurate, they'd still be the same genetically regardless of what stage, but I put them there for fun, okay? whatevar. Thus, already dilute cats like scott would become more closer to the full-white hair look, but black based cats like owen wouldnt end up quite as pale

ok yeah enough yapping here's the timelapse. i was going to do a sort of furry au at first but then i didnt like how owen looked and rlly liked how scott turned out & didnt want to do clothes so i changed gears LMAO. (red lineart that pops up was me tracing over a stock image in a diff window & eventually transferring it over to help w owens fuckass pose that killed me) (and that I gave up on. LOL)
