i have to be honest. maybe some of your muses are just boring. i don’t struggle to get threads with my women, nb or trans characters. i do have to drop some threads because some partners just don’t push the story along or add any personality to their characters. i don’t even rp with anyone’s male characters unless they’re trans. i just don’t care to write with muses that have no distinctive personality traits. or if you don’t give my character anything to work off of.

at least so far i think the anons who have come in my inbox have said they have put in work in their replies and muses, and i'd like to think that people who put in efforts and are disappointed that they receive little in return is why they're even here, voicing out their opinions.

i believe everyone is okay to drop threads, or if people don't like writing with our muses and don't find them interesting or the likes, but the main thing people have been saying is that they get ghosted? like threads get dropped in 2 replies without a word. i believe if communication is made, or a simple "hey i have lost muse for this thread unfortunately" would at least manage some expecting. disappointments will be there, but at least they can move on and try for something else, and/or with someone else.

boring or not, it should still be common courtesy to reach out to your partners if you no longer feel the muse, or a simple softblock would be enough of a message, i think.

also since this is related to my last post, frederick’s son, william, does go off and fight with the british auxiliary legion on the liberals’ side during the first carlist war in the 1830s, regardless of if frederick survives past-1815 or not. william just really admires his father, and wants to be like him — especially in military matters, but europe was mostly at peace for the 19th century — not many chances for him to do that, so he jumps at the chance during the carlist war. unfortunately though, william does fall in battle, regardless of the verse, which messes up frederick (assuming he’s alive) and caroline horribly — frederick even more so because william went to war in the first place because he wanted to impress and emulate his father.
