Hi!! Not really a question per se, but I wanted to mention that I love the different art styles on the post with everyone's portraits, and the username is so!!! Well thought out!!!! Love your art very much in general. I hope you are having a good week. Also! Are your pseudonyms based on favourite flowers? If not, what's everyone's favourite flower?
Hi! thanks so much! and we are glad you like the username, we connect to Fernando Pessoa's writing so much really and we like the term heteronym a lot since we are all writers and publish our writings individually. the different art styles connect to that honestly as we like the term so much because creative expression and distinct creative expressions and voices is a huge part of our identities.
yes so they are based on like. our symbolic flowers? not always our favourites but rather ones we think represent us. which is sometimes our favourite and sometimes not. many of us (Wisteria, Amaranth, Daffodil, Carnation, etc) are really passionate about that flower, some of us actually have the same flower. I (Hyacinth) actually prefer daisies but Daisy is literally a daisy so they got to claim it.
Periwinkle was a bit torn between periwinkle and forget-me-nots. but we went with periwinkle since it seemed like a bit less of a mouthful. idk. some like Rose don't really care that much about flowers or having a favourite in the first place. some of us are also plants that aren't the ones we went with. Daffodil is actually an agave plant (alongside being a cheetah and and alien). Lavender proposed going by Poplar at first but we ended up preferring the symbolism of lavender.
one flower that is pretty popular in the system but no one got (partially because it is a human name) is herb robert. it holds a lot of symbolic value to us but we couldn't get the name to work without sounding weird. our list of favourite flowers is actually super long because we are a bunch of indecisive biology nerd poets.
side note but two of us (Daffodil and Amaranth) formed after we started the comic and that seems to have influenced their forming a bit, with Daffodil often appearing in headspace in the art style of the comic and Amaranth sometimes going by Amaranth when we talk to each other.
I love when people ask us about becoming plural and we get to be like :D good news! you can! :D
(most of these are not inherently plural experiences but they are all ways of talking to parts of yourself or creating mental companions of some sort. plurality isn't always the thing people we talk to ultimately want, sometimes having a self-representing animal friend works better for them!)

Our partner (Hi if u are reading this)! We aren't out to many singlets (but we hang out in an IRL plural space so lots of plurals IRL know us!) We came out to it first in 2020, got scared and mostly re-closeted ourself until like a month ago.... He reacted really positively, we couldn't have asked for a better reaction!
