2016 Warped Tour, Long Island.

Some girls had held up cardboard signs that read “Awsten Eats Ass” and were standing relatively close to barricade (but due to the small stage/area, their signs blocked the view of people behind them). Awsten stopped his set and asked the security guards to hold the signs instead (pictured).

I’ve been a fan of Waterparks since their first EP as I had an internet friend who lived in Texas and told me he was annoyed at how they would constantly promote their band on Facebook. He said it wasn’t for him but he thought I’d like their stuff. I ended up liking it and then promptly forgot about the band until late 2015. Then it was announced they were going on Warped and I decided to go just to see them (it was my first time at Warped too).

I remember when I was in line to meet them, they didn’t have a huge crowd but instead had a small, dedicated fanbase. It was kinda nice. I’d say most were in their late teens/early 20s.

I asked Awsten to sign my Warped tour booklet and while he was signing it, I asked if he could draw something. He drew this on the front cover.
