Ahhh thanks sorry it took me a while to respond! Iām not good at rec-ing things because idk the stuff I like might not be the stuff other people like (plus Iām very new to fanfic and just stumbling blindly around a03 basically)
But I really recommendĀ @everyonewasabirdās fic Not Even Miracles! Itās aĀ āsome people liveā fic, not anĀ āeveryone livesā fic, but Itās so good! I love it! The premise is Combeferre and a few other members of Les Amis survived the barricades. The basic plot is Combeferre trying to cope with grief while searching for Enjolras, who he believes mightāve been captured instead of killed (spoiler: heās right1) This sets off a chain of events that leads to things like Cosette making friends (yay!) and Valjean not dying (YAY!).Ā (and since itās tagged āJavert Livesā I assume Javert wonāt commit suicide, tho that hasnāt happened yet.)! Thereās so much good research and brilliant characterization and like.......ahhhh!Ā Iām bad at reccing things but it makes me Emotional.Ā
Also the authorās other fic The Year Thirty-Two was the reason I started reading Not Even Miracles; itās a reincarnation-type fic and itās so GOOD and I have half-finished fanart of these fics on my computer which I havenāt finished because I have no attention span :( I always SAY Iām gonna draw things but I never commit
I also really enjoyed @kcrabb88ās fic Between the Soul and the Star! Itās an au where Les Amis survive (thereās an explanation), which sets off a domino effect that leads to Valjean and Javert surviving. This fic made me understand Enjolras as a character in a way I hadnāt before! I love it. It also made me Emotional about the parallels between Enjolras and Javert, which I hadnāt thought about it any depth before that? Also Valjean becoming a Father Figure to all of Les Amis...itās the content people crave. anyway that fic is a Wild Ride too!
