IT. WAS. AMAZING!!

I got it in the mail and was like ZOOM! into the PS4 you go! It’s now one of the very few animes I’ve gotten my dad sucked into (because he happened to be in the room and was curious after episode 1!)

I mean, usually, the voices are BLEGH, but because a lot of the actors were unknowns, it really made it feel a little more... um, genuine? Yeah, let’s go with that. I picked out very few I didn’t like, but I quickly grew accustomed to. 

And on the other side of the spectrum, there’s some I would sell my soul for *eye twitch* Such as, Kuroo, most definitely. THEY PICKED A PERFECT VOICE FOR HIM. Or at least in my opinion they did. (I’m pretty sure I swooned at the voice alone...) Can’t wait for season 2 for more of him and Bokuto!

Oikawa wasn’t bad, but I might be bias because I’ve grown with hearing the Japanese more often. I mean, He doesn’t say Iwa-chan! in English, obviously, and sticks to just Iwa. My dad picked him out and said “I don’t trust him.” I smiled innocently and just let it play out. It was hilarious to hear him continue “He’s too calm.” You wouldn’t believe how much I laughed when he honest to god, went “I KNEW IT! He’s a condescending a**hole!” when Oikawa zeroed in on Tsukki in the practice match (Aw yes, father, you’re catching on XD)

But yes, back to the voices.

Another one that stands out to me is NIshinoya’s. They did another beautiful job of finding someone that wasn’t outrageously high-pitched and annoying. I look at it as a voice that would fit a guy of his size. (I was waiting for the scene with him screaming Ace! and wasn’t disappointed! Sure, it will sound different because of the language difference, but his voice cracks regardless!)

And the translations aren’t too ‘random’. My dad even laughed at some of the eh-em... creative insults they thought of XD (Example: Buttwad, Turd)

I approve of the dub. They didn’t ruin it completely like some that shall-not-be-named (*cough* *cough* KnK/SAO *cough* - Again, my opinion)
