I've always hated trekking poles but if there's one thing hiking 70km in three days taught me it's that my knees are getting old

#still really bugs me #my legs were fine by thighs were fine my hips were fine #zero sore muscles #my feet weren't tired #i had plenty of stamina #but my knees absolutely shit themselves #or rather #my good knee did #my previously injured knee i've been retraining for over a year was mostly fine #but both of them have had the same rehab training #so it's not like i neglected one #but yeah #it might be time for some poles #much as i hate to admit it #i want to be able to do hikes like this without having to do 14 hour days with 7/10 pain #i also want to still have functioning knees to hike with for a couple more decades ideally
