can u get arthritis if ur not old
Hmm so this has been on my mind lately. I did some math to figure out how much stuff teenagers do daily and all that. I’m using my own routine and generalizing it do this isn’t like. An average of an entire school or something.
So I get up at 5:30 and school starts at about 7:30. Two hours right there.
School is 7:30—2:30, seven hours
I get home at 3:00 and depending on the day I have 30 minutes or four hours of hw, so we’ll average it to 2 hours. 5:00 I’m finished.
I have activities almost every night of the week that start at 6:00 or 6:30, so I eat at 5:00, 5:30 at the absolute latest.
Notice there’s no down time yet?
I get home at 8:00 (sometimes later) and then shower, grab a snack or whatever, and maybe, maybe, I have a few minutes to chill bc my house has a pretty strict 8:30 bedtime thing.
But here’s the actual math:
2 hours before school
7 hours of school
2 1/2 hours of work after school
3 hours of dinner and activities
1/2 hour for shower, etc.
8 hours is the min. amount of sleep for teens
All that equals 23 hours, which means on average I get an hour of downtime. That’s a far cry from the “eight hours work, eight hours rest, eight hours relaxation” people fought for. Even if you don’t want to count activities as “work” (and sure, I enjoy some of them, but that doesn’t make them less work) that’s still anywhere from 8-11 hours of work a day and I don’t even have a job yet. I’m 15. No wonder I’m always exhausted
Istg by the time this car rides over I'm gonna be deaf bc my friends are just absolutely blasting the music
im gonna fuckin. draw an anamatic.

the other day, one of the chefs at work was like “I’m sick, so I’m gonna be extra whiny because I have a sore throat and feel shitty”, and I just nodded, internally rolling my eyes. and as soon as he walked away, I glanced at him, then at the girl next to me and said “men are such babies” 🙄🤦🏻♀️ (to which she agreed lol)
I just realized that between Monday morning and now I have done planking in seven separate occasions
ah, so i see my body has hit the "something is wrong and yOURE NOT LISTENING!!! *starts flipping a couple switches and dials* stage huh
