I will say that given the up/down situation with IDV, I've turned to OW to at least let out some pent up emotions. I used to play mainly support but lately been on DPS. If you don't know what that means, basically take the fact that my DPS of choice is a firebender who wields fire through her fans and sets people on fire...yeah...I can't escape the arsonists.
And sadly, it does feel good. Especially when I use her Ultimate, rise into the sky all afire and dive as a literal ball of fire onto the poor victims below.
My other DPS of choice are the usual FPS "pew pew pew pew pew" girlies. But they let out my aggression just fine too.
(I'm even playing competitive/rank mode now. I only did that on support MONTHS&MONTHS ago. Now doing it on support AND DPS. Oh, I'm sick.)
i am sad bc i am getting interested in the tazercraft + fit lore now (yes i know i am late) but lately mike isn't streaming with pac (he probably has his reasons no /neg at him at all) and i feel like i am missing a key part of the experience
also idk where to even start with vods so rip
(i will probably eventually check vods ngl, my hispanic ass doesn't understand most portuguese but i understand enough to watch streamers if i brainrot hard enough)
me sitting here watching everyone be up at what is probably some ungodly hour, knowing full well that i should sleep too
wrestling is able to hold the audience culpable in a way that other mediums don't necessarily have access to! there's this one piece i just adore and think about all the time about modern art with the lines "'haha, what does this represent?' what do YOU represent?! modern art will meet you half way and no further. it is alive if you are. it reacts to you if you react to it. you, sir, are a space too!" and i just feel that this could be taken so far in wrestling. its the kind of long-running real time excess of information you get from comics and from life with the plain excess and stylization and melodrama of theatre and the semi-exposed artifice of modern art! it is such a rich medium and it has the ability to confront the viewer in a way that is more...OUGHHH its not viewed as abjectly as modern art communicating with you and expecting a response because wrestlers have a face and a movement to them, but it is so much more visceral than you get in life and it is hyperreal!
something i think about often is that when i was first getting really into wrestling, my aunt visited while i was watching i think a money in the bank payperview, and said "well, its not real, is it?". which is of course one of THE things that wrestling faces. and it irritated me, but in the next instance someone executed an aerial move off the ladder, and then she flinched and went "okay, well THAT was". and its that kind of shock that i think wrestling can do so well, the embodiment of shocking someone into responding. wrestling is not real, but it is as real as anything. c'est n'est pas une bagarre. you know
