I love Avad so much because he's an enlightened ruler and I fucking LOVE those and a lot of people do I think because why else would high fantasy exist and why else would high fantasy be based in so many narrative traditions about royalty as powerful and good - why else is jezus a 'king' we WANT to believe that goodness goes with power and power with goodness and I'm sure the powerful try to promote the notion - we want it so bad because it doesn't.

Instead of guns blazing, she uses subtlety and manipulation to break down Cat and Lindsey’s plots, she doesn’t /need/ to get into a huge fight, she can do it with words and cunning.
