(flashback) Meeting a new Hashira✨

(Year/years* before the you know;( ) i saw Kimetsu No Yaiba's new trailer for s2 and it gave me chills man, not to say Tengen's arc takes place in the new season makes me excited for the release.

Hope you guys enjoy teen Kyoujuro's first day in becoming a Hashira sketch!, and meeting Tengen for the first time. I'm not really sure about Rengoku's age when he started being a Hashira but this is my guess but my other guess is in between 17-19yr old.

He is making it clear that you are really not a necessary part of his life, he doesn't need your help nor does he really want your help. It is a essentially like saying 'Fuck you, you overestimate what importance you actually serve to my life and I would be completely fine without you.' He is independent because he doesn't want you to have anything to hold over him, which you would or at least complain often about helping, which in turn caused issues with his trust toward you.
