𝐃𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐘𝐒𝐔𝐒 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄  :  home  of  the  lionhearted  ,  the  brave  ,  the  determined  ;  those  who  have  been  placed  into  sedgwick  dormitories  are  known  to  be  passionate  &  spirited  individuals.  located  on  the  west  wing  of  campus  ,  the  dormitory  is  a  four  story  building  with  large  common  spaces  on  each  floor  ;  known  best  for  the  dormitory  with  the  most  well-kept  communal  areas  for  socialization  ,  dionysus  house  has  a  reputation  for  being  boisterous  &  rambunctious.  while  st.  ambrose  is  adamant  that  ‘  partying  ‘  and  anything  else  of  such  lowbrow  ilk  isn’t  present  on  university  grounds  ,  students  with  a  hunger  for  the  carnal  have  always  dubbed  virtus  to  be  the  nest  of  sin.

dionysus  house  dormitories  are  suite-style  ;  each  dorm  has  a  common  space  and  3  -  4  rooms  ;  each  room  ranges  from  a  single  to  a  triple.  dormitories  are  not  equipped  with  a  kitchenette  ;  each  floor  has  a  common  space  with  a  functioning  kitchen  area.  each  floor  has  a  common  bathroom. 

APOLLO  HOUSE  :  the  artistic  muses  ,  the  creative  minded  ,  the  poets  &  playwrights  ;  apollo  house  has  always  earned  its  keep  within  st.  ambrose  for  its  appetite  for  the  arts  ,  holding  within  it  the  university’s  most  eccentric  souls.  a  stark  contrast  from  its  sister  houses  ,  the  four-story  apollo  dormitory  is  home  to  a  large  mural  painted  against  the  exterior  facade  of  the  building  itself  ;  as  a  tradition  ,  all  students  who  have  been  placed  in  apollo  are  welcome  to  to  join  the  annual  repainting  of  the  mural  at  the  start  of  the  academic  school  year.  apollo  house  is  located  on  the  west  side  of  campus  ,  only  a  stone’s  throw  away  from  dionysus  house  ,  as  well.

apollo  house  dormitories  are  suite  style  ;  each  dorm  has  a  common  space  with  2  rooms  ;  each  room  ranges  from  a  double  to  a  quad  ;  each  dorm  possesses  a  kitchenette.  each  suite  possesses  one  bathroom. 

ATHENA  HOUSE  :  a  temple  of  knowledge  ,  wisdom  ,  &  scholarship  ;  traditionally  intended  to  be  a  women’s  dormitory  located  on  the  east  side  of  campus  ,  athena  house  has  opened  its  door  to  welcome  members  of  all  creeds  and  identity  so  long  as  the  sacred  nature  of  knowledge  is  prized.  the  studious  find  themselves  most  at  home  within  these  hallowed  halls.  athena  house  is  five  story  dormitory  well-known  on  campus  for  having  the  most  lush  &  posh  study  rooms  –  beautiful  ,  ornate  ,  and  picturesque  that  it  that  puts  even  the  university  library  to  shame.  this  dormitory  prides  itself  for  its  tradition  of  welcoming  each  class’s  valedictorian  –  a  reputation  that  has  proven  itself  for  the  last  15  years  ,  without  fail.

athena  house  dormitories  are  traditional  style  ;  each  dorm  ranges  from  a  double  to  a  quad.  the  fifth  floor  possesses  the  only  common  space  which  also  contains  a  kitchen  area  for  cooking.  neighboring  rooms  share  a  jack-and-jill  bathroom.
