FLORAL  BREW  TEA  ROOM  ,  is  the  one  and  only  standalone  tea  and  coffee  shop  located  on  campus  ;  located  on  the  west  side  of  campus  ,  floral  is  known  to  be  the  quiet  &  quaint  study  spot  for  students  who  desire  something  a  little  less  pretentious  than  the  university  library.  floral  prides  itself  on  having  a  unique  selection  of  teas  available  with  a  menu  that  rotates  on  a  weekly  basis.  in  addition  to  the  unique  brews  and  teas  that  are  found  at  floral  ,  the  espresso  &  coffee  is  said  to  be  the  most  decadent  in  all  of  st.  ambrose.  many  students  come  to  sip  on  a  latte  and  socialize  under  the  picturesque  decor  of  floral  brew  –  and  who  can  blame  them?  alma  mater  owned  &  student  run  ,  floral  brew  tea  room  is  by  the  students  ,  for  the  students.

THE  ST.  AMBROSE  MUSEUM  OF  FINE  ARTS  is  the  university’s  very  own  art  museum  ,  located  on  the  north  side  of  campus.  with  many  a  rare  painting  hanging  up  within  its  hallowed  walls  ,  the  museum  is  also  the  home  of  the  annual  fine  arts  festival  hosted  by  the  university  come  every  spring  semester  ;  the  numerous  art  students  –  namely  of  the  apollo  house  –  showcase  the  art  they  have  crafted  over  the  months  at  the  highly-anticipated  festival.  the  museum  is  open  from  monday  -  friday  for  a  leisurely  stroll  ;  in  addition  ,  the  museum  was  a  gift  from  a  mysterious  donor  and  apollo  house  alum  who  wished  to  see  the  university  blessed  with  a  more  artistic  eye.  towards  the  beginning  of  the  academic  year  ,  there  is  often  a  gallery  showcase  where  donors  &  benefactors  are  free  to  visit  as  a  complimentary  show  of  gratitude  from  their  alma  mater.

THE  FITZGERALD  ATHLETIC  COMPLEX  is  a  large  collection  of  fields  ,  tracks  ,  and  gymnasiums  constructed  on  the  far  east  side  of  campus  ,  a  sizable  trek  away  from  the  athena  house  dormitories  ;  while  st.  ambrose  is  most  well  known  for  its  academic  prowess  ,  many  a  handsome  donation  has  been  provided  into  the  university  funds  to  build  &  maintain  a  region  specifically  for  students  to  stay  active  &  healthy.  all  university  sports  practices  are  held  within  the  complex  –  which  houses  (  but  is  not  limited  to  )  an  indoor  ,  climate  controlled  swimming  pool  ,  full  tennis  court  ,  basketball  court  ,  football  field  ,  squash  and  racquetball  courts  ,  rugby  fields  ,  hockey  fields  ,  state  of  the  art  fitness  gyms  ,  running  tracks  ,  as  well  as  a  sauna  ,  private  showers  ,  and  yoga  rooms.  the  fitness  gyms  regularly  host  classes  free  to  students  including  dance  ,  cycling  ,  and  more.

THE  STAFF  AT  ST.  AMBROSE  is  excited  to  announce  that  we  have  chosen  a  date  to  release  our  main  !  we  are  proud  to  say  that  we  will  be  making  a  post  linking  to  our  role-play  main  on  SATURDAY  ,  APRIL  16TH  @  12  PM  EST  !  we  will  be  releasing  our  application  &  opening  our  submit  that  day  as  well  as  turning  on  our  askbox  to  help  get  the  ball  rolling  for  our  app  count.  after  the  main  has  been  released  &  we  gain  some  traction  ,  we  will  convene  to  determine  when  we  will  set  our  first  acceptance  !  throughout  the  remainder  of  tomorrow  ,  FRIDAY  APRIL  15TH  ,  we  will  continue  to  post  teasers  but  please  don’t  hesitate  to  drop  into  our  inbox  with  any  questions  you  have  !  we  are  very  excited  to  bring  st.  ambrose  to  life  &  are  very  excited  to  see  you  on  the  flip  side  !

SEDGWICK  HALL  is  the  oldest  known  building  found  in  st.  ambrose  ;  the  entire  campus  revolves  around  it  ,  keeping  it  front  &  center  for  university  affairs.  while  classes  were  once  held  in  this  building  ,  the  large  halls  have  since  been  renovated  into  the  administration  building  ;  the  office  of  the  registrar  is  located  here  as  well  as  first  year  services  ,  the  writing  center  ,  and  even  some  offices  for  st.  ambrose  staff.  on  the  first  floor  of  sedgwick’s  is  a  comfortable  lounge  for  visiting  families  ,  tourists  ,  and  students  alike  to  relax  in.  there  is  an  automated  tea  &  coffee  station  ,  quiet  music  ,  and  enough  space  to  settle  in  with  a  laptop  &  complete  whatever  work  needs  to  be  done.

THE  ST.  AMBROSE  CONSERVATORY  &  CRESSIDA  ASTRONOMY  WING  is  a  large  lot  of  land  dedicated  to  the  research  &  cultivation  of  the  natural  world  along  with  a  separate  building  specific  to  astronomy  learnings.  the  conservatory  itself  houses  a sprawling  greenhouse  where  many  botany  students  &  researchers  gather  to  tinker  and  nurture  numerous  plants.  the  greenhouse  is  connected  to  a  botany  research  lab  on  one  end  &  at  the  other  ,  a  community  garden  can  be  found.  the  community  garden  is  a  shared  effort  in  which  students  &  staff  gather  to  grow  numerous  fruits  &  vegetables  ;  come  time  for  the  feast  of  the  immaculate  conception  ,  the  fruits  &  vegetables  grown  within  the  university’s  own  community  garden  are  utilized  to  serve  the  inhabitants  of  st.  ambrose.  in  addition  to  the  massive  botanical  endeavors  ,  the  nature  conservatory  is  also  the  entry  way  to  a  winding  hiking  trail  straddling  the  north  edge  of  campus  ;  the  cliffsides  and  wooded  area  of  ambrosia  are  a  beautiful  place  to  breathe  in  nature  &  the  university  allows  students  to  hike  at  their  leisure  (  though  the  rumors  do  say  that  a  rejection  of  the  13th  circle  lead  to  a  body  to  be  found  on  these  very  trails  …  ).  outside  of  the  natural  splendor  of  the  conservatory  ,  the  astronomy  wing  is  a  large  ,  minimalist  building  where  those  who  wish  to  sit  at  the  towers  and  stargaze  may  come  to  bask  in  the  celestial  beauty.

CHURCHILL  LIBRARY  stands  as  the  pillar  of  higher  education  deep  in  the  heart  of  st.  ambrose  university  ;  the  6  story  building  has  a  large  ,  cathedral-esque  facade  complete  with  stained-glass  windows  &  candle-lit  halls  (  though  ,  of  course  ,  the  flame  candles  have  since  been  replaced  with  LED  candles  to  prevent  an  accident  from  occurring  &  burning  the  plethora  of  knowledge  into  a  crisp  )  &  if  the  rumors  hold  true  ,  monsignor  ambrose  and  his  followers  would  worship  in  the  pews  located  on  the  ground  floor  as  the  library  also  houses  a  chapel  partitioned  off  from  the  rest  of  the  interior.  the  library  is  beautiful  with  ornate  chandeliers  and  floor  to  ceiling  shelves  ;  there  are  private  study  rooms  ,  communal  study  rooms  ,  and  many  tables  &  overstuffed  chairs  tucked  into  many  a  corner  for  the  curious  scholar  to  seek  refuge  in.  in  addition  ,  the  fourth  floor  houses  a  small  ,  student-run  coffee  shop  known  as  the  grind  ;  the  coffee  served  here  is  free  to  students  until  7  PM.  the  overnight  shift  of  the  24-hour  coffee-shop  will  then  require  payment  for  a  cuppa.
