So, let’s see what we have.

He was shot at, but luckily the bullets missed him.

He took a spill with his bike at high speed and his forehead and hand and arm and thigh are torn up and bleeding, with the blood initially dripping from his hand. His whole forearm is covered in it. He has been wounded and bruised from his fall for a day while he was desperately doing everything he could to get back, clearly thinking of her - you will never convince me that he saw the sign with his exact words to her on it, and the flower on the walker, and did NOT think of Carol when he has brought such flowers to her and to her (empty) grave since season 2.

He got hit over the head so hard that he was unconscious for hours.

He got stabbed in the back.

And now he can’t even get stitched up without people complaining that she is alone as he is literally sitting on a table with Denise working on his stab wound? Can he please get his open wounds looked at and taken care of for the first time ever since season 2, because his injuries have sure been ignored every single time ever since, which has actually led some people to type out loud that he hadn’t been hurt since then? 

He has never left her alone when he could help it, and he wouldn’t now if he weren’t injured. Open wounds pose a risk for infection, and he could have a concussion from the fall or the blow to his head that knocked him out. As soon as he’s been fixed up and gotten some painkillers he will be there for her - he has sure been the only one to consistently support her through everything since forever, and he’s made sure she knows that. Why would he stop now?
