Sooooo yup, this is what I've been working on for the past month lmho. °˖✧◝( ⁰▿⁰;)◜✧˖° While I'm p happy with the way it turned out hehe, I def recognize there's plenty of room for improvement lol. The only thing I really find disappointing is the aforementioned low res, but I can't do anything about that now unfortunately. (μ_μ) But anyhoo, I'm sure some of you are wondering what exactly this illustration is a redraw of.

Yep, it's the so-called "October themed Persephone" RS put out early last month LMHO. (￣_￣)・・・ Many other extremely talented ULO pals have redrawn this for obv reasons lol, and my rendition is honestly more of a reimagining than a redraw. In fact, it didn't even start out as a redraw of anything specifically, I was just doodling around on my phone (Which I do a lot actually, it just doesn't usually amount to anything lmho) while the og piece was in the back of my mind and thought, "Huh, this doodle could actually turn out kinda cool if I used it to put a twist on that new piece and tried emulating RS's old artstyle („• ֊ •„)," lol.

So this is not only my first LO redraw, but also my first RS art study hehe. It's quite obv not completely emulating RS's old style—esp in terms of the lineart & overall foundation—bc 1.) I'm not yet at a level where ik just how to emulate other artists' styles lol, and 2.) I'm still developing my own style, so I'm still getting a grasp on all the fundamentals & such haha (Plus starting in an app that doesn't support .abr brushes didn't help lmho). But that's why this is only the first style study, so I can learn firsthand how to mimic the art I fell in love with almost 5 years ago (Holy crap, FIVE— 〣( ºΔº )〣) and simultaneously improve my own skills. Plus, a combination of both pilot/early LO & my anime-esque styles are what I'll most likely be using to draw my rewrite comic hehe. (¯▿¯)

This is why Puff was such an invaluable help to me, not only in creating this piece but in furthering my artistic journey as a whole. They went out of their way to assist me with brush selections, techniques, and even acquiring PS, providing amazing examples and actively going through the installation process with me. I'm beyond ecstatic that I'll be able to grow as an artist with all the wonderful LO brushes & this extensive software at hand, and I never could've done it without Puff's help.
