There's a certain amount of clairvoyance in some types of meditation and while he sits there in the dark, legs crossed and eyes dimmed in trance, he can feel something is not quite right, as if the fabric of this reality is plotting against him. It's a vague sensation, more like a sense of impending doom than knowledge really, but it makes him aware and alert as he comes out of the meditative state, more readied for potential danger than he might otherwise be. He'd yet to engage in any sort of combat within this world, and while he has done research, he is still uncertain what the weaponry available now might do to him, making him even more careful as he unfolds himself to check the perimeter of the abandoned station he's living in.
