ClichĂŠ situations are good! A lot of people enjoy them in the fact that they are recognizable and are good for moving and telling stories for specific things! Like showing how different characters would react to something simple like there only being one bed. It can be an effective tool for character writing and imo you do it well!
ya dis too... im never gonna make a full comic about anything and i do still want to inform ppl on here about my ocs without outright being like "he feels x and y and does z" (even though i Do often do that ! it gets tiring i wanna do more showing even if the concepts are overdone and sucks etc)
