I just got on my work break and as soon as I sat down a coworker I don't know very well came in and started eating a small cupcake right across the table from me. I wouldn't care--except she was eating it by chewing extremely slowly and loudly with her mouth open. It was the most maddening sound on earth. I escaped by pretending I needed to get something from my locker, retreating to the locker room, waiting until I guessed she must be done, and then coming back--but the chewing was, unbelievably, still happening. Daring to glance at her, I see with absolute horror that she has now begun to eat an entire peanut butter sandwich. I am in actual hell.
