[My whole PC froze when writing my mass spectrometry report and I am quite livid]
So, I’ve been hearing this phrase y’all got over here, that I ain’t too crazy about. “It’s the hope that kills you”-- y’all know that? I disagree. I think it’s the lack of hope that comes and gets you. See, I believe in hope. I believe in “Believe”. Now, where I’m from, we’ve got a saying too, yeah? It’s a question, actually: do you believe in miracles? Now, I don’t need y’all to answer that question for me. But I do want you to answer that question for yourselves, right now.
Do you believe in miracles?

you know, I think we need some sort of... binary, I guess, similar to Doylist/Watsonian, to use when talking about works that are adaptations of another work, where the equivalent of Doylist criticism is talking about the work as an adaptation— what changes it made, where it chose to cleave more closely to the source material, what changes were necessitated by changes in medium, what worked, what didn’t, etc., and the equivalent of Watsonian criticism is talking about the work as a text in isolation— on its own merits, and not through the lens of the original, assuming no prior knowledge.
I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BLACKLIST SEVEN SEPARATE FUCKING BAD BATCH TAGS BECAUSE FUCKING GIFMAKERS AND SHIT WON'T JUST TAG THEIR FUCKING POSTS GODDDDDDDD

i completely agree on the show don’t tell. so few words, so much was said. I could write an essay about this page (;ω;)
ikr? I often hear complaints about how Sorata doesn’t do thought bubbles anymore, but it’s pages like THAT that just send her storytelling/art abilities to the moon and back. The emotion of the scene would have had less of an impact if we could read their thoughts. I’m reading another manga right now, and while I thoroughly enjoy the plot, I’m also a little annoyed by all the internal thinky thoughts all over the place (unless they’re funny. If they’re funny, they can stay, lol)
