@ffs-carafaye,
the clock flashed 6:02 when asher pressed the home button on his iPhone. he was supposed to meet cara, the savvy brunette mechanic with the mesmerizing eyes that he'd met earlier, at 6:30. he stood from the chair adjacent to the small table in his room at the bed and breakfast, striding to the dresser where his suitcase was rested on top to pull out a red and black plaid flannel, pulling it on over his white undershirt and buttoning it up, the ends meeting right past the waistband of his dark wash jeans. his hair rested in it's usual messy but still somehow gathered state as he strolled back to the table to retrieve his phone. 6:07, he'd managed to waste five minutes and now he was looking for an excuse to pass time. pushing his phone in his pocket, he decided to leave the room after shrugging on his coat and instead of calling a cab, he'd walk to the shop; it's not as if the town was big enough for anything to be out of walking distance, especially since the bed and breakfast was located right in the middle. he headed in the direction of the mechanic shop, gazing through the windows of the shops as he passed by. everything in this town was Christmas at this time of year. more so than anywhere else he'd ever seen. every single shop was directed with tinsel, lights, and wreaths. on every corner, there were carolers. Asher was as "jolly" as the next person, but seeing so much of anything could be quite irritating. especially if you grew up around it. he shivered and pulled his coat closer around him as the chill wind whipped in every direction. the phone displayed 6:27 when he pulled it from his pocket after spotting the shop, nearing it in distance now. his interaction with the brunette earlier the same day had been fun. she knew his game, the flirty banter back and forth, and she seemed to be just as much of a professional at it as he was. she seemed like the kind of girl that asher would be able to tolerate taking out more than once, which was the typical for him. he silently hoped that she would distract him from the unwelcoming thoughts regarding cordelia that began to enter his mind the longer he left himself without being busy. as he rounded the corner into the shop, he managed to shut off his thoughts as he’d practiced so often, allowing himself to focus on the now. he tapped his knuckles on the only desk located inside once he spotted cara, flashing a smile, and leaning his hip to the side against the desk, "I was told by a pretty lady to be here around 6:30. you wouldn't happened to have seen her would you?"
