The way Mickey says these words to Ian. He is not condescending or judgmental. He is full of love and care and concern for the man he loves more than life itself. He speaks them so tenderly and Ian maybe gets slightly annoyed but he doesn’t get angry. He knows Mickey is only asking because he cares so much. Ian knows how, over the years, so many people didn’t bother checking in with him and missed all the glaring signs that things weren’t right. Mickey will always do everything in his power to make sure Ian is seen and heard, loved and supported for the rest of his life.
