That's why she's so immensely dangerous, There hasn't been a stop OR a slow down to it, In a way: her abilities made itself worth the study to see the lengths that will go, will it continue developing? Will it be the same with a clone, or will it just stop at one ability compared to charlie? What will happen to Charlie mentally as her powers develop?

Is her mutation further more sentient with each enhancement?

Let's start, Her mutation has been dubbed as 'Horror' by the laboratory staff prior to Sinister's involvement. Recorded Developments:

Phase One:

She can send out thought waves that alter people's perception and eventually render them catatonic. This may intensify to hysteria. Her power was originally limited to those with whom she made eye contact and developed to, by proxy via television broadcast, affect others.

Nathaniel has remedied this, giving Charlie glasses with lenses dark enough that this would not be a problem to others and comfortable for her to see and navigate. Although, within home confines, it is not necessary.

Phase Two:

Once they have spotted a fault or break in an object or person, they are able to steadily make it worse via line of sight.

Luckily, all Charlie has to do is not point out the fault.

Phase Three:

Disquiet is a.....peculiar ability. The user is, in the literal sense, forsaken from nature, and thus their very existence generally doesn't agree with it. Due to this, their very presence may cause animals or people to either be frenzied around them and dislike them intensely.

It is to note: This ability has been developed and observed once, before charlie has promptly (and voluntarily) accepted blockers for this particular ability as it has proved to be dangerous to her well being.

Power blockers had been made for this ability in particular.

Phase Four:

Domain is as it sounds: The user has a personal domain: an area in which the user has absolute power, through magical, supernatural, scientifically, or other means, which may be a physical area or an entire dimension.

For charlie, it is the top of a tower under the stars.

There's nothing to note. Charlie simply hides here often for comfort.

Phase Five:

The user is able to turn aspects of her monstrous. However, the user is limited to turning one part of their body. If they transform anymore of their bodies, there's a high chance that the user will blur the lines between good and bad and attack allies.

robert being a cis man is more priveleged. he’s lived a life with more opportunities and doors open to him. an occupation like physicist is perfectly accessible and respectable for him. he got to / gets to live life unchallenged and lauded for his achievements. which could explain why he’s slightly less cynical and a little more playful (e.g. we see him juggling, we see him painting a portrait of himself while rosalind stands still as figure model unknowing in robert’s silly antic). rosalind, as a cis woman, was likely discouraged from pursuing physics as that wouldn’t be seen as a womanly role in columbia’s antiquated worldviews. every achievement robert made rosalind made too but she did it in constant resistance to what was expected and demanded of her. i can see how this could make her more pessimistic. she has fought against the rigidity of the world, of its norms, and knows how little it bends.

i don’t love the takeaway of their personality differences being “rosalind sad and cynical b/c woman >:( and robert happy and perseverant b/c man”.

i think it’s more nuanced than that. it’s easy to see robert as the more perseverant and happy one but he has the benefit of actually believing they can alter reality. of course that would lead to more space for perseverance. it’s more commendable and quite endearing that rosalind is nevertheless going along with this exercise despite believing it’s futile. i know she says it’s for her brother’s sake because he believes in it but there’s a very soft kindness and patience to do the same time loop over and over countless times even though it’s always the same for the benefit of your brother.
