Sooyoung did nothing wrong.
This belief pumps through her head -- through her bones, as vibrant as the carmine which spilled across the floor not an hour before, as she held her breath inside of her throat. Sheâs innocent, and maybe a bitch -- a bit of a big bitch, at that -- but she didnât assault anyone. She protected herself.
And yet here she is, an omega, in detainment. For god knows how long.
Consciousness doesnât last very long-- the clock ticks, more stabilizer is pumped into her system, and she drowns in it, falling back under itâs thrall. She doesnât dream -- she simply loses touch with existence, vision swirling before it finally failed her and she drifted into nothingness.
When she wakes up, she isnât so scared anymore.
A weight has been lifted off of her shoulders -- the gash on her hand is completely healed, and thereâs a smiling woman waking her up. Telling her she can go home. The government healed your wounds, she said. Youâre safe in our care, and youâre free to go home.
Park Sooyoung smiles, tiredly, and believes her, the color in her eyes dull.
She goes home -- to the puppy sheâd unwillingly adopted, collapsing on her bed with an exhale of exhaustion. Her first thought is to call unni, to let her know sheâs okay -- but Jinah can wait. Sooyoung is tired. She wants to sleep. ( She would never skip out on calling if it was something important. )
Sleep is nice. ( This isnât right. This isnât right. )
Sooyoung starts to drift, unaware of the artificial sweetness that had been pumped into her chest. ( She shouldnât feel like this. )
She has faith that everything will be okay -- theyâll be alright.
( She isnât okay. )
