Her father pushed through some cases and jammed up members of the bratva for a long time, and evidently pissed a lot of people off. Pissing them off... ended badly when Simone was 17. Her and her high school sweetheart were attacked coming home one night - he was murdered, and she ended up killing two of the perps with their own gun out of pure dumb luck before anyone else could get to her to help. She spent 6 months recovering from those injuries.

After that - she said, fuck people, and where she might have once taken a different path to her family, she stepped right on up behind them and worked her way through the legal sector until she landed herself as one of the youngest district attorneys Chicago had seen

She takes literally no shit from anyone and does not care who you are or who you work for, if they land in her firing line its their own fault.

has absolutely no issues doing whatever is necessary (not always legal) to make her convictions stick - but she won’t go out of her way to do so if it puts innocent people at risk

a definite holier than thou attitude, but she follows up on it pretty well.

divorced and doesn’t believe that any sort of “happy ending” is written in the stars for her

Grew up in Chicago and had the “picket fence with extra money” kinda life, though they were never all too showy about it

Got bumped around to a few different schools for #behavior problems which stemmed from #learning difficulties but he did just enough to get by on the skin of his nose 

never really considered going dirty, but when he did.. it put a huuuuge strain on his relationship with his sister, who was and still is the most important person in his whooooole life to him

his father ran a few deals to get the syndicate settled in the city and bobs ur uncle.. 

Harley ended up being “sold” to Daddy Ozdemir for security/protection and it kind of just stuck and he’s been with them ever since. 

Somewhere along the line, he fell head over heels in love with Dilara but did as much as he could to hide it because he had no doubt that daddy dearest wouldn’t be too fond of that idea since it just complicated business - and he knew it would never come back looking great on her. 

When Daddy Ozdemir passed - he assumed he was going to be placed with Dilara, but apparently the will he left behind said otherwise and he’s a little bit #hurt that he isn’t, especially since Dilara wants him to help her train etc.

Two months ago, his baby sister went missing and he suspects it has something to do with something his father has done - he just doesn’t know if it has something to do with the syndicate or the bratva

what he does know... is that he’s very close to considering running information back to the FBI --- nobody touches baby sister

he’s a soft guys guy but also up for any kind of destruction and has been known to take deals from mostly anyone in terms of keeping things quiet or messing with evidence. 

Jack grew up being babysat by her brother and also a bunch of older, seasoned criminals and learned the ropes pretty early on. 

This is how she ended up falling into fighting/boxing after watching them all mess around on fight nights etc. It became the path she followed for a lot of her younger years and became a pro boxer at the age of 17. This ended up working even better for her when her interest moved through to martial arts etc 

Naturally, the idea of joining in her family exploits grew to be a little more interesting and by the time she gave up her place in the boxing world, she’d sworn the oath to the bratva and become an assassin under their charge.

After a few years as a mentee, she was given free reign and the contracts started coming in… It landed her in NYC for a few years, where things got messy for Sam, and she killed for Violet… at this point…. she met another of her ex’s that turned her world completely upside down

After Sam gave Jack the slip, her coooold harsh nature kind of stepped up a notch but meeting he who shall not be named brought a little bit of fire back to her. It was toxic, passionate and fucking messy - when they were good, they were great, but when they weren’t - being inside a house fire would have been more comfortable. Inevitably, the majority of their relationship was a total lie. The pair literally created different lives they sold to each other - her being an assassin and him being a CIA agent went completely unnoticed by either of them

Turns out, he knew who she was the whole time and was using her as an IN for the Bratva… When they found out, her loyalty was tested and she was told to kill him… Which she did - or thinks she did. He survivedddd… dun dun dunnnnnnnn

Now she’s just her badass fucking self 

sarcastic af, doesn’t take shit, only knows how to be horribly blunt and isn’t at all empathetic 

Kind of hovered a little too close to “wrong side of the tracks” for a looooong time, until she found out that one of her brothers had become a soldier for the syndicate. At which point, she said fuck it and jumped right on in and began dealing drugs for them for the last few years of high school. 

Landed herself a full ride to some fancy pants art school and said cya to Chicago and went to Rhode Island for a few years to do her thing there. Continued to deal while she was away.

Until news of her brother being murdered reached her. She came back for the funeral and hasn’t left since then. Unknown to her, he was executed after another soldier found out he was feeding information to the Bratva.

She’s since taken up an apprenticeship at the tattoo studio and can regularly been seen tagging up the city. One of her hacker pals decided to show her the ropes and she picked it up waaaay too easily and has since stopped dealing and become a hacker instead.

Commit his first murder when he was thirteen. After overhearing two of his fathers friends conversing with what he knew to be a higher up of the militsiya in russia. Zephyr ended up following them back to one of their homes and killed them both - it was v messy. 

When Alexei realized the potential he clearly held, he wasted no time at all in making sure he grew up under the right people, with the right teachers/mentors etc and tbh he absolutely thrived (this wasn’t really done in a “prodigy” way, it was more his father just feeding zephyrs thirst for blood and criminal knowledge. Zephyr also never made a move for power that he couldn’t absolutely secure and never intended to make a move for his fathers position - he was pretty happy doing whatever came his way. 

He ended up being away a fair bit as he grew older, settling connections and putting his face to some of the workings of the bratva across the world until his face was just as recognizable to the rest of the bratva as his own fathers. 

The kind of guy that has earned the respect of the people within the mafia - obviously there are people that don’t trust him at all (which is fair) but for the most part, he takes care of his own.

V cool calm and collected at almost all times, to a point he can almost seem uninterested in everything going on around him, but trust... he is watching and listening to everything

On the flip side - when he snaps... he snaps

Met Sera when he was around 27 when the bratva stormed a collective of the syndicates prostitution ring.. He liked that she seemed to show some kind of fire that some of the others didn’t.. So, instead of bringing her into their own ring, he pulled her out of it completely.

Taught her everything she needed to know to function in the US - english language, currency, how to drive etc etc etc. Fast forward to 2015, right after he stepped up - he asked her to marry him ( not only because it meant they couldn’t testify against each other but also bc love ) 

Since Vasili was stabbed... he’s been biding his time for the last month, pulling things together and watching the Syndicate very closely.
