Not necessarily looking for whump (although that's always nice) just looking for tv recs. I've watched some real bangers on Netflix recently but they all got cancelled after one season 😭. Recently I watched:
Half Bad: The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself (loved this, the characters were so interesting I'm considering reading the books cause I can't stop thinking about them. Ceelia, the woman you are...)
Dead Boy Detectives (again loved these characters so much and I'm huge sucker for mysteries. I love my little ghost boys and I want them to be happy forever)
Lockwood and Co. (again, loved the mystery and the characters, really good writing, might try the books but I know they're aimed at a younger audience)
All of these shows had supernatural and/or mystery elements, interesting and well written teen/young adult characters (not necessary/required just a common denominator I noticed) and were in general really well written and interesting production wise.
I've also enjoyed some other shows with similar content but lower budgets so it doesn't have to be big budget or prestige TV (I loved School Spirits). Just looking for any hidden gems I've missed in the constant barrage of mediocre new content.
