summary: of course you remember tom loftis: new england's most (in)eligible widower and perpetually single father. you remember him as your once summertime employer during college. you even remember how he'd come to visit you in the city sometimes, during those rare moments he could get away from the island. but you can't remember him ever expressing interest in being mayor of the home he hated so much.
in which reader returns to widow's bay as an inspector and grant writer from the city, hoping to help tom better invest and repair island infrastructure. but instead, invests in matters of the heart (and tom's funny, achy pelvis).
posting this to gauge interest. i've been drafting as i have time and would love to post the first chapter in a week or so.
this is currently at about 6.5k words! writing more to it every day that i have spare time outside of my full-time job and life stuff. anticipate it being posted by the weekend of july 11-12.
