If you’re wondering where I post from I actually went on a little wonder one day and stumbled upon a cave and there was actually a voice calling me in so naturally I followed it and there was actually a spring in the cave so of course I went for a swim and then used rocks to light a fire to dry myself off and fell asleep then when I woke up I was mesmerised by this cave all over again so I let out a scream and because I’m just that powerful my scream made the whole cave shake and then rocks actually started falling to the ground and they actually blocked the entrance to the cave but I didn’t mind because I had my cave oh and did I mention there was a cat yeah there was a cat in the cave and yeah so I pace around my cave and sometimes I unlock my phone to post on this hellsite knowing my phone will one day run out of battery but in the meantime I get to share with you my madness (wisdom) from my enclosure

Oh, sweet and beloved Vertigo, where would I be without you
Honestly I owe that imprint because it shaped my taste in a lot of media and gave me some of my all time favourite characters.
It was...crazy that you could see that variety of characters and stories that insane on a imprint from DC comics (which often people didn't even know about).
BUT I'll also be honest and say that as I've read the best of comics on Vertigo, I've also read the worst shit I've ever read in that section. Because when it's bad, it's BAD, and it's because like...97% of the writers have been white men and it's something it's good to admit.
But hey, I wish it wasn't closed in 2022. A lot of the originality and talent that was shown in Vertigo is what is often missing on comics nowadays.
DC did an attempt by opening Black Label, but while Vertigo managed to branch out from usual DC universe shenanigans, Black Label seems to be stuck on realising several Batman titles when the main line it's already saturated by it. That said, that Sandman Universe line on it is dearly missed and I wish it lasted more since it was a good attempt of revival.
So yeah, for me Vertigo is that gem who is extremely rough on the edges, but still valuable for what it was.
