and there are still times when it hits me, your absence, the lack of your laughter or voice crackling through my phone, the lack of messages and 'i love you's'. it no longer feels crushing nor painful, the loss of you, just jarring in a way i can't quite describe, like waking up and rolling out of an empty that's too big and too cold and thinking,'i could've spent my entire life with you'. ~ acceptance.
