Gregor x reader dating headcannons!

Basically, this man is a loser.

You dating him? You out of nowhere chose him? A worthless person like him? That’s literally his POV when you started dating at first.

He's easily one of the bestest friends you could ever wish for. He would lend you a cig (if you smoke), he would listen and give you advice if you rant about something (just don’t bring up his past trauma) etc.

The friendship just started as usual work colleagues. You both did some small talk, fought together etc. And then it got to this. 

You have to ask him out first because he is scared of rejection and making you hate him.

When you wanted to go out with him , he would be FLABBERGASTED. You picked him out of every sinner in the bus.

It isn’t that he doesn’t like the idea, instead he accepts it and spends the rest of the day being happy and giddy about it. Someone amazing wanted to go out with him.

Anyway, let's get back to the subject. How would he act when you both are dating?

So first, he craves attention. He just wants it. He is touch-starved so of course he wants it. The problem is, his bug arm.

Because of his bug arm that loses control because of strong emotions , he fears that you might get hurt by it. Also because of his self-depreciation, insecurity and blah blah blah. He is just paranoid.

Don’t get me wrong, if you’re clingy then he is okay with it, just reassure him that you won’t get hurt because of his cockroachy (?) arm and you can offer him as much love as you want. 

He WILL rest against your shoulder. Let him , please.

He also might kiss you back in return if you take the initiative.

In public the most he will do is hold your hand or in rare occasions , kiss your cheek.

He won’t act the same though, he’d be a bit more shy or more talkative about you. If he hears your name being mentioned, he lends in an ear (not in a creepy way). He’s also paying more attention to what you’re saying than he does with others.

What about in private? How does he show his affection in private?

He will change slightly but still remain the same. He doesn’t give much affection in private either. 

Yes, he might try and tease you (and fail miserably) but hey, at least he tried.

Cuddles? He’s all for it. He’ll make sure that whenever he’s cuddling you he will be the small spoon. He also makes sure to not hurt you using the sharp parts from his bug arm

Does he call you by nicknames? Kind of. Yeah, he doesn't call you german nicknames (to everyone’s disappointment).  BUT, he might call you love and/or babe sometimes. Just don’t expect it much.

What about the “I love you”?

He says it when he’s feeling needy or when you both share a comfortable moment (such as cuddling, or hell, him resting on your shoulder). Though he says it in a whisper most of the time.

Gregor will feel jealous if you talk with others because of his insecurity and it happens relatively often. He fears that you might leave him for someone better. He can’t help but think, why did you choose him out of everyone?

Though, he won’t snap at you. He isn’t that type of person to do so. He’ll just sulk his jealousy in and distance himself.

Arguments don’t tend to happen and if they do, he’ll make it up by buying a bouquet and apologizing. He doesn’t want to lose the one that actually saw him as a person and not as a weapon.

He’ll be insecure and keep his feelings inside. Make sure you comfort him, give him the reassurance that he needs and treat him well. He’ll still overthink and distance himself from you sometimes but reassure him , comfort him, hold him close, just, do it. He loves you
