"hello, guys, and welcome back to another sidemen sunday!" tobi starts, "so today i have invited three groups of strangers who will match the boys with their partners, the group will get a thousand pounds per correct couple and if they manage to get all the pairs correct they will get an extra two thousand pounds!" tobi explains. "welcome the first group!" the room erupts in applause and two girls walk in.
"hi, my name is summer, i am 29 and i am from london, and i am here with my sister." the first girl introduces herself.
"i am anne, i am 27 and i am also from london." the second girl says.
"hello, ladies." tobi starts, "your task today is to match the couples. the lovely ladies standing there are married to these boys." tobi says pointing at you, talia, faith, freya, and ellie, you guys wave at the camera. "so let's get started."
"ok so i am thinking we should start by asking them to interact with the girls." summer says to her sister.
"yeah, ladies, can you each hug every guy here?" anne asks you guys. talia goes up first and hugs everybody. "ooo that didn't give us much."
"no, that guy at the end hated it." summer says, pointing at harry. "we can rule him out." everyone lets out a soft giggle.
faith, freya and ellie go up next and the response is almost similar. "i don't think that guy has a wife." anne says, refering to harry. "he is so awkward around all of them." the room erupts in laughter.
"what?" harry says in a high pitch voice. "i am not awkward."
"yeah sure mate." summer rolls her eyes. "okay, beautiful, you are up." she calls you up. you first hug ethan then vik, simon and josh, and then finally harry. you wrap your hands around his neck and his hands automatically find their way to your waist, his chin gently rests on your head and he releases a satisfied sigh. "there it is!" summer exclaims. "she is yours, isn't she?"
"what? it could be anyone." harry attempts to bluff.
"hell no, it's definitely her. he visibly relaxed when she hugged him, and he was grinning like crazy. they are definitely married." anne says.
"why were you grinning?" you whisper-yell to harry. "you blew our cover."
"i can't help it." he says giving you a cheeky smile.
summer and anne got three correct couples and walked away with three thousand pounds.
___
"okay, boys, welcome our second group!" tobi announces.
two men walk in, "hi, my name is nate, i am 34 and i am from manchester, i am here with my husband." the first man introduces himself.
"i am paul and i am 36." nateâs husband introduces himself.
"speaking from experience, when my husband compliments me, i tend to blush so we will ask you lovely ladies to compliment your husbands without telling us their names." nate explains.
freya goes first, then ellie, faith, then you. "okay, lovely, what's one thing you love the most about your husband?" nate asks.
"there are a lot of things i love about him, like the list could go on and on. he is smart, respectful and loving, but if i had to pick one thing that everyone can understand, it's gotta be his eyes, he's got beautiful eyes." you say, smiling to yourself, not glancing towards the boys to avoid making eye contact with harry.
"oh it's definitely him!" paul exclaims, pointing at harry.
"what?" harry asks, in a high pitched voice again.
"oh the moment she walked in, his entire demeanor changed, his eyes lit up and everything, and look at him right now he is blushing like crazy." paul says, the entire rooms starts laughing, you facepalm yourself.
"harry, mate, you are costing us money!" ethan shouts, making harry blushing harder.
nate and paul guess two couples correctly and walk away with two thousands pounds.
___
"okay, welcome our last group of people." tobi introduces a man and a woman.
"hi my name is sheena, i am 41 and i am here with my husband." the woman introduces herself.
"i am dean, i am 41 and we are from dublin." the man continues.
"i think couples just naturally match each otherâs aesthetics, so i think we should pair them up based on how they look together." sheena explains.
"yeah, i have to agree with that." dean says.
they dive straight into it, they start arranging you guys and, mix and match. they first pair talia with simon, then josh and freya, then vik and ellie, they pair faith with harry and lastly they pair you with ethan.
"yeah i think this is it." dean announces.
"no wait." sheena interupts. "the blond guy is not very happy that we paired her with the ginger man." she targets harry.
"oh yeah, he actually looks pissed." dean adds and starts laughing.
"i am not pissed, i am not pissed." harry tries his best to convience them, but his tone is laced with jealousy and anger.
"so you don't mind when i say they look good as a couple." sheena challenges him, pointing at you and ethan.
harry clenches is fists, his jaw tigtens and he offers sheena a tight smile, "i don't mind when you say that." the words come out forcefully.
"you are not conveincing anyone." sheena says, laughing harder. "okay pretties, you both can switch, please." she tells you and faith to swap.
"congratulations, you both are the first ones to get them all correct." tobi announces.
"well, it's all because of harry, thanks, mate." dean says, grinning at harry.
"cheers, mate." harry says, shyly, while you shake your head fondly.
"harry's costed us thousands today." simon says.
"yeah, fucking simp." ethan rolls his eyes.
"bro is obessed with his wife." vik adds, laughing.
"yes, i am simp and yes, i am obessed with my wife, say whatever you want, i love her." harry says, kissing your forehead, making you smile.

summary: Youâre visiting Harry while he hosts hide and seek at his house, he tells the guys not to bother you⌠but do they ever listen? | Harry x fem!reader
notes: fluffmas day 22! only 3 left :( based on this request! Hope this lifts ur spirits on a monday happy reading <3333
Harry tells them very clearly. âDonât go in the living room.â
He says it before filming starts, while everyoneâs milling about and Ethanâs already trying to wind him up. He says it again when cameras are rolling, and people are scouting out hiding spots.Â
âSheâs knackered, sheâs travelled, sheâs not part of the video,â Harry insists, pointing vaguely down the hall. âLeave her alone.â
Naturally, that means the living room becomes the most attractive hiding spot in the house.Â
Youâre curled up on the sofa with one of Harryâs hoodies on â the soft grey one that smells like him â legs tucked underneath you, phone in hand, only half watching whateverâs on the telly. You can hear the chaos echoing through the house: drawers slamming, whispered arguments, Ethan laughing too loudly.
You smile to yourself.Â
You havenât seen Harry properly in weeks. Long-distance does that thing where it makes the mundane feel precious â sitting on his sofa, wearing his clothes, existing in the same space without a screen between you.Â
The door creaks open.Â
âShh, shh, shh.âÂ
You look up just in time to see Simon, Ethan, and Tobi practically falling into the room, eyes wide and panicked.Â
âWhat are you-â you start.
Ethan presses a finger to his lips. âHide and seek.â
Simon grins. âWeâll be quiet.â
They absolutely will not be quiet.Â
Before you can argue, they scatter â Simon crouches behind the armchair, Tobi squeezes himself awkwardly behind the curtains, and Ethan⌠Just lies flat on the floor behind the sofa like thatâs a normal decision.Â
You blink. âHarry said-â
âWe know,â Simon whispers. âBut we havenât seen you in ages.â
As if summoned by your conversation, footsteps approach in the hallway.
Your heart jumps anyway.Â
The door opens again, and Harry slips inside, closing it carefully behind him like heâs sneaking into a secret.Â
âHi,â he murmurs, instantly soft, eyes lighting up when he sees you. âYou alright?â
You nod, smiling. âYeah.â
He crosses the room in three long strides, dropping down beside you without a second thought. One arm curls around your shoulders, pulling you into his side like itâs muscle memory.Â
He presses a kiss to your temple. Then another. Then one to your cheek.
Behind the sofa, Ethan bites his fist to stop the laughter.Â
âYou having fun?â Harry asks quietly, thumb brushing over your arm.Â
âMmâ, you say. âYour mates are being loud.âÂ
He huffs a laugh. âTell me about it.âÂ
Simon watches in disbelief as Harry leans in again, forehead resting against yours now, his voice dropping even softer.Â
âIâve missed you,â he says.
âI know,â you reply gently. âI missed you, too.â
Harry exhales, like heâs been holding that in all day. He kisses you properly this time â slow and familiar, like heâs grounding himself.
Tobi has to look away.Â
Harry pulls back just enough to smile at you, nose brushing yours. âIâll win this, you know.â
âYou say that every time.â
âAnd Iâm right every time.â
He grins, kisses you again, then finally â finally â stands up.
âIâll come back,â he whispers, like a promise.Â
The door clicks shut.Â
The room explodes into silent hysteria.Â
âOh my god,â Simon breathes. âHe didnât see us.â
âHe kissed her THREE TIMES,â Ethan whispers harshly. âIâm gonna be sick.â
Tobi shakes his head. âHeâs got it bad.â
Two minutes pass with you chatting and catching up with the guys, then the door opens again.Â
Harry slips back in like he forgot something.Â
He goes straight to you again.Â
âI forgot to ask,â he says softly, hand resting on your knee. âDo you want to get food after this?â
Simon squeezes his eyes shut.Â
You laugh quietly. âYes.â
âCool,â Harry says, relieved. He leans down, kisses you once more â quick, sweet - then pauses. âOne more.âÂ
He kisses you again.
Behind the armchair, Simon silently mouths this is ridiculous.
Harry finally straightens up, completely oblivious, and leaves the room.Â
The second the door shuts, Ethan sits up. âIâm telling him.â
Simon snorts. âHeâll be mortified.â
Tobi smiles fondly. âNah. Heâs in love.â
When Harry eventually bursts back into the living room later, triumphant and smug-Â
-and finds all three of them staring at him-
âYou lot hid in here,â he realises slowly.Â
Simon grins. âYeah.â
Ethan adds, âYou kissed her like four times.â
Harry freezes.
Then he groans, covering his face, âYouâre joking.â
You laugh, tugging his sleeve until he drops back onto the sofa beside you. He wraps an arm around you immediately, burying his face in your hair.Â

âWelcome to Sidemen Hijingo!â
The room erupted into cheers and applause as Simonâs voice echoed through the venue.
Purple and pink neon lights washed over the venue, reflecting off glasses scattered across each table. Conversations overlapped from every direction as everyone started getting comfortable in their seats, already laughing amongst their teammates before the game had even begun.
You were teamed up with Tobi, Becky, and Pie, seated right in between them with your first bingo card and drinks splayed across the table.
âI just know that today is going to end badly for me.â You said turning to Tobi.Â
âFor as long as you follow the rules and donât say Hijingo, donât worry I got you.âÂ
âOf course you do, ya big softie.âÂ
Across the room, you caught sight of your boyfriend Harry, with his own team staring at you.Â
The second he noticed you looking back at him, he grinned and sent you a thumbs up.
You rolled your eyes, and turned back to Simon as he continued to list the rules, asked for team names and started the first round.Â
Immediately, everyoneâs attention snapped towards the front to see the first number call out.Â
âNumber Twenty-sevenâ
Chaos had well and truly commenced.
Round after round, drink after drink, mystery challenge after mystery challenge, nobody seemed capable of staying quiet for longer than five minutes.
Every few moments, another table would erupt into cheers or groans, followed almost immediately by someone insisting the game was rigged in their favour or against it.
Your team, somehow, was doing well.
Mostly because Tobi seemed to have developed an unnatural ability to spot numbers before they even properly registered on the screen.
The moment one appeared, he was already leaning forward.
âWeâve got that.â
âTobi, this is getting ridiculous,â Becky laughed as she marked another square.
âIâm just efficient.â
âOf course, itâs literally thee TobJZL,â Pie added, though he was smiling into his drink.
Tobi sat back like heâd just been crowned champion of something far more important than bingo.
Across the room, another team erupted into cheers, followed instantly by loud, dramatic protests from somewhere else. The entire venue never really settled; it just shifted between different bursts of noise...
You found yourself smiling at it all without really thinking, resting your chin in your hand.
The drinks didnât help.
Not in a way that made anything unclear or blurry.
Just in a way that made everything feel slightly softer at the edges. Easier to drift through. The loud voices around you started to blend into a warm, comfortable background track.
You took another slow sip of your drink, feeling the cool liquid hit your throat, and leaned back slightly in your chair.
Across the room, Harryâs table was in its usual state of controlled chaos.
George and Bach were deep in yet another argument about whether the system was âemotionally biased,â while Arthur looked like he had accepted that logic was no longer required for participation.
Harry was laughing through all of it.
He wasn't trying to steer the conversation. He wasn't really contributing to the argument.
He was just enjoying itâproperly enjoying itâthrowing his head back like the whole thing was the absolute best part of being there.
It made you smile before you even realised you were doing it, your gaze lingering on the way his eyes crinkled.
âGot it.â
Beckyâs voice pulled you back as the sharp clack of the marker hit the table.
You blinked, shaking yourself out of the daze, and glanced down. âAlready?â
âYou were looking elsewhere,â she said simply, her eyes tracking the screen as she spoke, a knowing smirk playing on her lips.
âI was multitasking.â
âSure you were.â
Tobi didnât even look up from the card, his finger tracing the grid. âWeâre two numbers away.â
That pulled your attention back in properly. The competitive spark finally nudged its way through the alcohol.
For a while, you actually tried.
You followed the screen. The calls. The reactions around the table.
You leaned forward when everyone else did.
You marked things when Becky told you to.
It almost worked.
Almost.
But the room was too loud, too vibrant, to fully settle into. There were too many things happening at once, pulling at your senses.
A sudden shout from another table pulled your attention sideways.
A loud cheer from somewhere else followed it a second later.
Then laughter â Harryâs distinct, wheezing laugh echoing over the music. His table was briefly visible between people moving around the venue, a pocket of bright energy in the crowded room.
You didnât turn fully this time.
Just caught it in passing.
Enough to register the sound.
Not enough to completely lose track of everything else on your own table.
Still, Becky noticed the half-second delay.
She didnât comment immediately.
She just slid the pen back across the table, her fingers tapping a quiet rhythm against the wood, and continued watching the screen.
A few beats later, she glanced side-long at you again.
Not annoyed.
Just⌠noting it.
Like sheâd quietly started keeping count of something else entirely.
Tobi marked another number off the card with a flourish.
âWeâre actually flying through this,â he said, leaning back slightly in his chair like he was inspecting his own masterpiece.
You laughed quietly, the sound muffled by the ambient noise of the room, your eyes still half-focused on the board.
For a moment, it almost felt like you were fully back in it.
Almost.
âGot it,â Becky said again, already reaching for the marker before Tobi even had a chance to react.
You blinked, looking between the card and her. âWaitâhow are you both seeing these so fast?â
âWeâre paying attention,â Tobi said, throwing a playful look your way.
âI am paying attention.â
Becky gave you a look, her eyebrows raised, without actually looking away from the screen.
âThatâs not what Iâm seeing.â
You frowned, shifting in your seat. âWhat does that mean?â
âIt means,â Tobi added lightly, his tone teasing, âyouâve got a delay.â
âI donât have a delay.â
âYou do,â Becky said simply.
âI donât.â
A beat.
The neon lights pulsed overhead, casting long shadows across the table. Becky finally turned her head slightly toward you, letting her marker rest.
âYou do a thing.â
âI donât do a thing.â
âYou do,â Tobi nodded, chiming in seamlessly. âItâs consistent.â
You narrowed your eyes at them, trying to look serious. âWhat thing?â
Becky didnât answer straight away.
Instead, another number boomed through the speakers, and both of them reacted instantly, their eyes darting to the card.
You were a fraction slower.
Not enough to lose the point entirely.
Just enough for Becky to notice the hesitation again.
âThere,â she said, marking it with a definitive click.
âI was literally right behind you.â
âEmotionally behind us too,â Tobi added with a grin.
You let out a laugh, shaking your head. âThatâs not a thing.â
âIt is now,â Becky said.
You shook your head again, but you were smiling, the warmth of the room catching up to you.
Across the room, another massive burst of noise went up from the far tables.
Your head instinctively turnedâ
You caught yourself halfway.
Stopped.
Looked straight back at the card like you had just narrowly avoided a crime, staring hard at the little printed squares.
Too late.
Becky had already seen the movement out of the corner of her eye.
Tobi had too.
There was a long, deliberate pause at the table.
Then Tobi leaned back in his chair slightly, a mischievous glint in his eye.
âI think we should start charging her for every time she looks over there.â
You gasped, your jaw dropping slightly. âExcuse me?â
Becky hummed in agreement, tapping her chin. âWe could increase team funding. Buy another round.â
âI am right here,â you protested, looking between the two of them.
âYou are,â Tobi agreed, his smile widening. âJust⌠intermittently.â
âI am fully present.â
Becky finally turned to look at you properly now, leaning her elbow on the table and resting her chin in her hand.
âAre you though?â
âYes.â
A beat.
Another number was called out by the announcer.
You didnât look this time. You kept your eyes glued to the center of the table.
You were proud of that.
Genuinely.
Until Tobi spoke again, his voice dropping to a casual, conversational whisper.
âHarryâs laughing again.â
Immediately, your head turned.
Instantly.
Without permission from your brain.
There was a sudden, heavy silence at your table.
You froze, your eyes locking onto Harry's table for a split second before you realized what you'd done.
Slowly, you turned your head back around.
Becky was already smiling, holding back a laugh.
Tobi was biting his lip, trying desperately not to break.
You stared at them, your cheeks warming up under the pink lights.
ââŚThat doesnât count.â
Becky tilted her head, her smile spreading. âIt absolutely counts.â
âIt was informational,â Tobi added helpfully.
âI hate both of you.â
Becky reached for her drink, finally letting the full smile show now as she lifted the glass to her lips.
âWeâre just saying,â she said lightly, the ice clinking softly against the glass, âyouâve got very fast reaction timesâŚâ
Another number flashed up on the big screens.
Becky marked it instantly, her hand moving without hesitation. Tobi followed a second later with a nod, checking it off his own mental tracker.
You leaned forward slightly, resting your hands on the sticky wood of the table, already trying to refocus your attention when the loud announcement suddenly cut through the room.
âRight â mystery challenge!â
The entire venue shifted at once, a collective wave of movement and chatter rising as the neon lights began to pulse a deeper shade of purple.
Becky turned to you immediately. Her expression changed, turning less focused on the card and more on you as a slow grin spread across her face.
âOoo, go on then.â
You blinked, pointing a finger at your own chest. âMe?â
âYes,â she said simply, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Tobi nodded from across the table, leaning back in his chair. âYou should go.â
âI should?â
âYeah,â Becky said, already smiling. âYouâll be good at it.â
You hesitated, looking at the marker still in your hand. âBased on what exactly?â
âVibes,â Tobi replied.
âThatâs not a qualification.â
âIt is here,â Becky said, shifting in her seat and standing slightly now to give you room.
Across the table, Pie gave a lazy thumbs up, his eyes crinkling as he took a sip of his drink. âGo on. Represent us.â
You looked between all of them, completely outnumbered. âYouâre all just sending me up there?â
Becky laughed softly, the sound almost lost to the bass of the room. âWeâre not sending you. Weâre encouraging you.â
âThat is the same thing.â
âNo it isnât,â Tobi said.
âIt is emotionally,â you muttered.
Becky leaned in slightly, lowering her voice like she was letting you in on a secret over the roar of the crowd. âHonestly, itâs perfect timing. Youâve been way too locked in on the wrong things anyway.â
âI have not.â
âYou have,â she said gently, her eyes darting briefly toward the other side of the room before she smiled back at you. âGo. Have fun with it.â
Tobi pointed a finger toward the front of the venue where a small crowd of people was already starting to line up by the stage. âPlus itâll be chaos. Youâll like it.â
You hesitated for a second longer, the pink neon light catching the edge of your glass. Then the noise of the room rose again â laughter, movement, chairs shifting against the floorboards, people calling out to each other as they got up. And somehow, that decided it.
ââŚFine.â
Becky immediately lit up. âYes.â
Tobi nodded approvingly, crossing his arms. âGood choice.â
Pie clapped once, a short, sharp sound. âProud of you.â
You stood up, still half-protesting under your breath, but already being gently waved forward by the encouraging hands of your own table.
âI hate you all.â
But you were already walking forward, joining the rest of the selected players weaving through the crowded gaps between the tables. And as you moved through the shifting crowd toward the frontâ
Your attention flickered, just for a second, across the room.
Harry was already right there among the rest of the group on stage â just another person caught up in the same chaos, like this was completely normal.
And somehow, that made it easier.
âHi,â you said, almost under your breath as you stepped closer.
Harry turned immediately. A grin appeared on his face the second he saw you, looking like nothing about this was unusual at all. âHello.â
You didnât even think about it before closing the small gap between you. The hug was quick â natural, easy. One arm each, a brief squeeze, like it was just something that happened without needing permission.
âWell look who decided to participate,â he said as you pulled back slightly, his hand lingering for a fraction of a second.
âI didnât choose to,â you replied immediately.
âSure.â
âI didnât.â
âI believe you,â he said, not sounding like he did at all.
You shook your head, smiling despite yourself. Around you, the rest of the group was shifting into place, laughing, talking, settling into that familiar pre-challenge chaos. Before either of you could add anything else, Simonâs voice cut through the room.
âRight â listen up everyone!â
Neither of you fully let go straight away. You stayed in that half-second of contact, still half-facing each other, while the room slowly shifted into attention around you. Simon continued explaining the rules, gesturing as he spoke about a rock paper scissors tournament. Fast rounds. Immediate elimination. Simple enough that everyone was already nodding along.
Still half in the hug, Harry glanced toward the front. âThis is going to be chaos.â
âIt always is,â you said.
A small laugh left him. Only then did the two of you properly separate â not abruptly, just naturally as attention tightened across the stage.
You barely had time to settle before Simon was already speaking again. âRight â everyone pick someone. Rock paper scissors. Winners move on.â
The stage erupted instantly. Fast rounds, loud reactions, and people dropping out almost as quickly as they stepped forward. It stopped feeling like separate matches after a while, narrowing down exactly how everyone expected it to until it was obvious, even before Simon said it over the microphone.
âRight,â Simon sighed, looking between the two of you. âOf course itâs you two.â
The room erupted immediately. You let out a small laugh, turning slightly to find Harry already looking at you, still smiling.
âYeah, that makes sense,â he said.
You rolled your eyes. âUnfortunately.â
Simon raised a hand, and the noise dipped just slightly â enough for the moment to land. You stepped forward, Harry did too, and the rest of the stage blurred into background noise. Just the two of you now.
"Rock. Paper. Scissors."
Instant. You played. A beat.
Thenâ"I win!"
The room exploded. Harry immediately laughed, shaking his head as he stepped back. "Course you do," he said, the defeat fading into a proud, effortless smile as he looked at you.
You blinked, staring down at your own hand like the reality hadn't fully caught up yet. "...I actually won that."
"Yeah," he nodded, stepping closer to nudge your shoulder playfully. "You did."
Simon pointed a finger toward you through the roaring noise, his voice booming over the microphone. "Rightâyour team gets to pick a number!"
You caught Beckyâs frantic signaling from across the room and called out, "Number Fifty-eight!"
The venue reacted immediately with a massive wave of cheers, groans, and shouts of disbelief. And thenâ
"HIJINGO!"
Your table erupted into absolute madness. Becky's voice sliced clean through the ambient noise even from a distance, screaming, "I KNEW SHE'D GET IT!" while Tobi threw his hands up, laughing hysterically at the sheer luck of it all.
On stage, Harry looked down at you, his eyes crinkling. "Not bad."
You gave him a small, satisfied look, soaking in the high. "Obviously."
Before heading back down, Harry gave your arm a quick, affectionate squeezeâa private beat of warmth amidst the loud chaosâbefore you both parted ways to return to your respective sides. You practically floated back to your table, met with high-fives from Pie and triumphant cheering from Becky and Tobi. For a couple of rounds, the adrenaline kept you completely locked into the cards, matching Tobi's hyper-focus number for number.
But the peak of the excitement eventually began to cool.
As the next few rounds ticked by, the game slowly settled back into its usual, rhythmic chaos. Numbers continued to be called, teams celebrated, and Georgeâpredictablyâresumed his ongoing, passionate argument that the entire venue had a personal vendetta against him.
And that was when your attention, warm and slightly fuzzy from the drinks, began to drift across the room again.
Somewhere along the way, you completely stopped making a conscious effort to stay at your own table.
At first, Becky had been strict about it. She had marched over, physically guided you back by the shoulders, and reminded you that they still had a game to win. You had sat down, taken an obedient sip of your drink, and stared hard at the card. But the alcohol was making the room feel too warm, and Harry's table had a gravitational pull you couldn't fight. Less than ten minutes later, you had drifted right back.
This time, Becky didn't follow. Across the room, you caught her catching Tobiâs eye, pointing a finger at your empty chair, and dramatically dropping her head into her hands. They had officially given up on you.
Completely liberated, you stepped up right behind Harryâs chair, letting one hand settle absent-mindedly onto his shoulder.
Harry didnât even look up, completely unfazed by your sudden reappearance. Arthur was in the middle of a sentence, George was still complaining, and the game roared on around you, but Harryâs hand instantly lifted from the table. Without a word, his fingers slipped between yours, locking your hands together like muscle memory.
To be fair, the boys had seen this happen countless times. Whenever the group went out drinking, there always came a point in the night where you became significantly more attached to Harryâs side than your own.
You stood there for a few minutes, contentedly swaying to the music, before gently nudging his shoulder. "Harry."
He finally looked up, his thumb brushing over the back of your hand. "Hm?"
You looked at him, then eyed the crowded, occupied chairs around the table, and then looked back down at him with a sleepy pout. "Can I sit here?"
A soft smile immediately tugged at his lips. "Yeah, sure baby."
Harry gave your hand a small tug, guiding you down until you settled comfortably onto his lap. His free arm wrapped naturally around your waist, your legs sideways across his lap.Â
"Comfortable?" he murmured against your hair.
You hummed happily, resting your head on his chest. "Very."
"Good."
And that was that. Across the venue, Becky slowly lowered her glass, watching you completely dissolve into George's latest dramatic story. She nudged Tobi, pointing with her chin, before gesturing to Pieâwho was currently engaged in a very passionate conversation that seemed to be making perfect sense to him and absolutely nobody else.
"Yeah," Tobi laughed, taking a sip of his own drink as Pie joined in on a random cheer across the room. "She's gone, and he's completely tuned out. We're the only two left."
Across the room, the game had officially become background noiseâat least for you. George was already in the middle of another joke, fully committed to a bit that seemed to get more ridiculous every time he opened his mouth. Arthur was laughing, Bach was laughing, and unfortunately, so were you.
âYou cannot seriously think thatâs true,â Arthur said through a laugh.
âIt is true.â
âItâs literally not.â
âIt absolutely is.â
George looked around the table like he was expecting support. Your hand immediately shot up. âI agree with George.â
âThank you,â George said instantly.
Harry looked up briefly. âYou donât even know what heâs talking about.â
âDonât need to.â
âThatâs concerning.â
You pointed at George. âHeâs got conviction.â
âExactly!â George said.
Arthur laughed harder. Harry just shook his head before looking back down at the card in front of him.
One hand resting on the table. The other still loosely wrapped around your waist. Not because he was paying particular attention to it. Just because at some point youâd ended up there and neither of you had thought to move.
âYou are encouraging him,â Harry informed you.
âI think heâs funny.â
âHe already knows that.â
âGood.â
George looked delighted. Harry looked significantly less delighted. You grinned before settling further against his chest.
For a moment, Harry glanced down at you. Then at the nearly forgotten card in front of him. Then back at you.
âYouâre supposed to be helping your own team, you know.â
You tilted your head. âMy team seems fine.â
Harry snorted. âRight.â
And despite the fact that George was still talking, Arthur was still laughing, and numbers were still being called somewhere in the backgroundâ
Neither of you moved.
A few moments later, another drink appeared on the table.
Your eyes immediately lit up.
Harry noticed.
Unfortunately.
The second your hand reached for it, his got there first. His fingers closed around the glass before you could even touch it.
"Harry."
"No."
You stared at him. "You don't even know what I was going to say."
"I do."
"You don't."
"I absolutely do."
You frowned. He looked entirely unconvinced.
Without another word, he slid the drink slightly further away, out of your reach, before reaching for the glass of water beside him. The one that had been sitting there mostly untouched for the last hour.
"Drink."
You looked down at it. Then back at him. Then back at the water.
"You're no fun."
"Drink."
Arthur laughed. George pointed at Harry immediately. "He's doing that thing."
"What thing?" you asked.
"The protective boyfriend thing."
"I am not," Harry said.
"You are."
"I'm literally not."
Bach was already laughing. Meanwhile, Harry simply continued holding the glass of water out towards you. Waiting. Patiently. Like he already knew how this was ending.
With a dramatic sigh, you finally took it from his hand.
"There we go."
You narrowed your eyes, taking a slow sip. Harry looked entirely too pleased with himself.
Satisfied, he returned his attention back to the card in front of him. One hand resting on the table. The other found its way back around your waist without a second thought.
The game carried on around you. Numbers continued being called. Teams continued celebrating and complaining in equal measure.
And somewhere between the drinks, the laughter, and the constant chaos of the room, the rest of the evening seemed to settle into something comfortable.

IT HAD TAKEN you 5 minutes into the video to get killed the first time. You were adamant it was all Harryâs fault.
You agreed to watch each otherâs backs while you tried to get a task completed. In true Harry fashion he forgot what he promised to do. Lost focus. It meant Simon and Will had snuck up on you and carried out an annoyingly impressive double kill.
The two of you fell to the floor where you stood, or you did at least. As for Harry, he saw an opportunity and took it. He waited for you to lay down, then seemingly misjudged his size and ended up covering half of your body.
You grunted but didnât protest much. That was how he knew you were okay with it.
For a while the weight of him on top of you was nice, soothing. His head was on your chest, arm around your waist. If you werenât laying on a cold, hard floor in the middle of an old building, it might have actually been quite nice.
You thought someone would have found you by now. It had to have been at least 15 minutes since Simon and Will got you out and you were still in the same place, growing more bored by the minute.
âDo you think theyâd notice if we just left?â you asked. You could head out, get some lunch and be back before anyone noticed you were missing.
âYou? No. Me? Yeah.â
You scoffed, ârude.â
Back to the silence you went. Another few minutes passed before you spoke up again.
âYouâre heavy,â you complained.
He rolled his eyes but didnât bite back. When it came to you Harry was a problem solver, whether you asked him to fix something or not. Sometimes it drove you crazy, other times you welcomed itâ even if you refused to tell him as much. Instead of saying a word, he rolled you both over so you were now comfortably on top of him. It was much better like this.
âHappy now?â
You snuggled your face into his neck, leg thrown over his hip, smile on your face. âDefinitely.â
â Ë・âਠĘÉ ŕ§â Ë・â
âCome here.â He waved his hand, beckoning you into his arms with a small smile.
Part of you knew you should be weary. There was a high chance he was the imposter, catching suspicion during the last 2 meetings. The other part of you thought he might just be feeling clingyâ which you should have known was out of the ordinary during a video.
Either way, how were you supposed to deny him when he looked so sweet?
You trudged over, trying to ignore how mud coated the white of your shoes. None of that mattered once you were in his arms anyway. He was always warm. Like a big teddy bear you got to call your boyfriend. His arms were strong, wrapping low around your back as you tucked your face into his chest.
It wasnât that you didnât like being in your boyfriendâs videos. You did. They just always seemed to involve lots of running and poor weather. It had been freezing since you arrived at the shoot location this morning, raining on and off while you wandered around. They certainly could have picked a nicer day for itâ maybe then you would have been happier to be involved.
You were just settling into the hug when he started shifting. At first he was just moving the camera, but then there was more to it. You should have seen it coming.
A sharp poke at your back made your eyes widen. You pulled away from his chest with a gasp, looking at his growing grin with utter betrayal. âHarry!â
He just shrugged, knowing he wasnât going to hear the end of this. âIâm sorry.â
With a frown you let the theatrics begin. âHow could you?â you whined, dramatically, going limp in his arms just so he had to catch you. What he should have been doing was running away from the scene of his crime; If he got caught heâd be voted out without so much as a second thought. But you were going to drag this out, increasing the risk of his capture. If your boyfriend was willing to kill you, even during a game, you were going to make a dramatic performance out of it.
Originally, he was just going to lower you to the floor and leave you there. You would have killed him for real.
âHarry, no! The mud.â
He rolled his eyes, looking around as he tried to come up with a better solution. You didnât expect for him to suddenly hoist you up into his arms, a squeal leaving your mouth that probably alerted someone nearby to what was happening. He was laughing as you laid limp bridal style in his arms. If he knew it would have been this much work to kill you, he wouldnât have bothered.
He went through the hassle of carrying you all the way inside so you wouldnât be cold, setting you on the floor near the meeting room. Warm and dry.
âIs that better, your highness?â
Obviously being dead in the game meant you werenât supposed to talk, so with your eyes still closed and your limbs splayed everywhere, you barely nodded.
Harry just laughed, wandering off, trying to be grateful he hadnât been caught mid-act.
â Ë・âਠĘÉ ŕ§â Ë・â
âGuys, if I get killed again Iâm never doing another Sidemen video. This will be the last time you ever see meâ especially if I get betrayed again. Can you believe my own boyfriend killed me? Me? The love of his life!â Most of your rambling would probably get cut out of the video. No one cared. Talking to the go-pro made you feel less alone though, a nice way to pass the time.
âIf I wasnât so scared of running into the imposter Iâd probably take my chances at one of the tasks. Knowing my luck the moment I leave here someone will be waitingââ you didnât even get the chance to finish your sentence. A crunch of leaves behind you had your head whipping around, finding Will standing there looking rather menacing.
He must have heard you talking and thought he could sneak up on you. This one you really had brought on yourself.
The sight of him with his plastic knife in hand made you freeze completely. He was grinning, far too proud of himself for landing a potential kill so early. You were absolutely fed up with dying so fast.
âNo, please.â You pleaded but you didnât even try to run. You couldnât be bothered. The 3rd round had only just started and here you were facing death again. It was safe to say you werenât very good at this game at all. Either that or you were being unfairly targeted. You would argue the latter, refusing to admit you could be bad at anything. âWill, itâs not funny.â
âNo hard feelings,â he insisted, leaping forward and poking his knife into your side.
You sighed loudly. You werenât sure if you were more upset at being killed again, or having to lie down on the dirty ground while he scurried away cackling.
It took a minute for you to realise youâd chosen the worst spot to lay in. Your foot was wet. You looked down to see it was perfectly placed in an awfully deep puddle. You sighed heavily, but what was the use in moving it now when it was already wet? Someone would hopefully find you soon anyway.
Could today get any worse?
You didnât know how long had passed before your saviour arrived. It was the footsteps you heard before anything else. Moving quickly in your direction. Hope swelled in your chest at the idea of being found. Then you heard the familiar voice; Harry. It wasnât clear yet if you would be saved.
He rounded the corner the same way Will had, just with less malicious intent.
The man stopped in his tracks at the sight of you.
In true Harry fashion he took the dramatic route. There was a reason you were made for each other. He fell to his knees, setting his go-pro down to get you both in frame. He was about to put on an Oscar worthy performance.
âNooo!â he waved his fists around as you tried not to laugh.
He tugged you into his arms, moving his hands over your face obnoxiously. You scrunched your nose, trying to ignore how annoying he was being. It was all on purpose. You knew him too well to think otherwise. He just wanted to see you break.
âWhy you? Life is cruel. Cruel!â You had to give it to him, he was putting his all into his little show. âI will avenge you!â
You grumbled. âHarry, my footâs been in a puddle for 10 minutes. Iâve probably got trench foot. Can you just press the stupid horn?â
He faked another cry, âitâs like I can still hear her voice.â
summary: you outsmart the sidemen hide-and-seek with Harryâs help authors note: this has been in my drafts since the vid came out warnings: swearing, arguing, competitiveness (if thatâs even a word), lying, chaos
The cameras are already rolling when you step into frame, the familiar chaos buzzing through the massive warehouse as voices overlap and people shove each other playfully out of the way. The building feels impossibly big, concrete stretching out in every direction, metal staircases twisting upward, shadows clinging to corners that look perfect for disappearing. You hover close to Harry without even realising it, your shoulder brushing his arm as the group forms a loose line.
He notices immediately.
âYou goodâ he murmurs, head tilted toward you.
You nod even though your stomach is flipping. âI feel like I am about to embarrass myself in front of millions of people.â
He smiles like that is the funniest thing you could have said. âYou will be fine. And even if you are not, it will be funny.â
You elbow him lightly and he laughs, slipping his hand into yours just out of view of the camera. The touch steadies you instantly.
Vik claps his hands loudly. âAlright everyone. Today we are doing ultimate hide and seek.â
Groans ripple through the group.
âWhy do we keep doing thisâ someone complains.
âThis place is terrifyingâ someone else adds.
âI am not crawling againâ another says firmly.
Vik continues explaining the rules while the cameras move closer. One person hides at a time. The rest of the Sidemen are seekers. If you are found you are out. Longest hider wins. You swallow.
Harry squeezes your hand. âYou will smash this.â
âYou are literally hunting meâ you whisper.
He smirks. âI am hunting everyone else. You are under my protection.â
You look at him. âThat does not sound fair.â
He leans closer, voice low. âLifes not fair.â
âśď¸ â˘áá||á|á||||| 0:10
The buzzer sounds and your turn to hide comes quicker than you expect. Adrenaline slams into your chest as you sprint away from the starting point, footsteps echoing behind you. The warehouse feels even bigger when you are alone, every sound amplified, every shadow threatening to give you away. You duck down a narrow corridor, then another, heart pounding so hard you are sure the microphones will pick it up. You slide behind a stack of crates and force yourself to breathe quietly.
The seekers spread out almost immediately.
Footsteps. Voices. Laughter.
You hear Harry before you see him.
âRight I am telling you now she is not hiding anywhere obviousâ he says loudly. âShe knows better than that.âYour breath catches. Someone scoffs. âYou say that because you know where she is.â
Harry laughs. âIf I knew where she was do you think I would tell you lot.â They move on.
âśď¸ â˘áá||á|á||||| 5:20
You stay perfectly still, counting your breaths, until the footsteps fade. Minutes crawl by. You move slowly, carefully, inching toward a metal staircase you spotted earlier. You climb it silently and slip into a shadowed platform above the main floor, crouching behind a thick ventilation unit. From up here you can see everything.
âśď¸ â˘áá||á|á||||| 25:12
The Sidemen fan out below, checking corners, opening doors, shouting accusations. Harry moves differently from the others. Less rushed. More deliberate. He blocks sightlines casually, stands in doorways too long, laughs and distracts when someone gets close to your area. At one point Ethan starts heading toward the stairs.
Harry immediately steps in front of him. âWhy are you going up there. She is not stupid enough to go high.â You clamp a hand over your mouth to stop smiling.
Ethan hesitates. âYou sureâ Harry nods easily. âOne hundred percent. She hates heights.â You do not. Ethan turns away and you let out a silent breath of relief.
âśď¸ â˘áá||á|á||||| 30:10
Time stretches. Sweat trickles down your spine. Your legs ache from crouching but you do not move. Voices grow louder as frustration sets in.
âShe has to be somewhereâ
âThere are no places leftâ
âThis is ridiculousâ
Harryâs voice cuts through the noise. âOr she is just better than all of you.â
Eventually someone gets found and cheers erupt. Then another. Then another. One by one the group drops out until only a couple of names are left.Including yours.Harry looks up at the catwalk for half a second. Not directly at you. Just enough. You know he is checking. He nods once and looks away.
âśď¸ â˘áá||á|á||||| 1:28:17
The final seeker storms around, swearing loudly, opening every door again.
âShe cannot still be hidingâ he shouts.
Harry shrugs. âMaybe you lot are just bad at this.â
Seconds tick by. Your heart is in your throat. Then the buzzer sounds. For a moment there is silence. Then shouting.
âNo wayâ
âYou are jokingâ
âThat is madâ
You climb down slowly, legs shaking as you step into view. Cameras swing toward you immediately. The group surrounds you in disbelief.
âWhere the hell were youâ someone demands.
Harry grins like he has won himself, pulling you into his side. âTold you she would win.â
Your adrenaline crashes all at once and you laugh breathlessly, gripping his hoodie. âI thought I was going to die up thereâ you whisper.
He leans down, voice soft just for you. âYou did so good.â The cameras catch him kissing the top of your head and the crew makes noise immediately.
âAwwâ
âThats cheating manâ
âThat explains everythingâ
Harry just laughs, arm firm around you. âStay mad.â
âśď¸ â˘áá||á|á||||| 1:48:39
The video wraps not long after, laughter echoing through the warehouse as crew start packing up. When the noise finally fades you sit together on a crate near the edge of the building, the adrenaline slowly leaving your body. âThat was genuinely terrifyingâ you say.
He smiles at you, softer now that the cameras are gone. âI knew you could do it.â
Summary: The Sidemen play âHit Sendâ and Harry ends up texting a Tomlinson.
Pairing: harry lewis x yn tomlinson
âHello and welcome back to the Sidemen play Hit Send!â. Simon introduced the video, the others celebrating around him as they all sat on the large beige sofa.
JJ began to explain the rules of the game. The player picks a letter and number card to select random contact in their phone. Each player submits a text message for the active player to send to that contact, but the âDM Donâ gets to choose which text to send with the aim to recieve a reply.
âIâll be the Master first!â. Harry announces wanting to get his potential embarrassment out of the way.
There were a few comments made about Harry feeling brave, before Vikk gestured for Harry to pick his two cards.
Harry reached for the two stacks of cards that sat neatly on the wooden table in front of them. He picked two up quickly before looking at them with interest. âOkay, Iâve got T 9â.
âDo you have nine T contacts?â. Josh wondered, glancing at Harry who sat on his right.
Harry began to scroll through his contacts, preparing for who it may be.
âI fucking hope itâs a good oneâ. Ethan laughed as he watched Harry scroll through his phone.
As his eyes landed on the ninth contact under T in his contact list, Harry cringed out loud. âOh Iâm fucked!â.
âWho is it?!â. Ethan repeated.
âItâs gotta be a girl!â. Tobi assumed with a small chuckle.
âWell who is it?â. JJ asked with a smirk, already getting excited.
âI donât know if I can even sayâ. Harry showed his phone to Josh to show the name of the person. âCan I say?â.
Joshâs eyes widened and a big grin filled his face. âUhhâŚI mean..itâs up to youâ.
âJust tell us, we can bleep the name outâ. Simon encouraged, eager to know the mystery name.
All eyes were on Harry, waiting to know..
âTo be fair, I donât think she would actually careâ. Harry said in thought. âBut just incase bleep it outâ.
âTell us then!â. Vikk demanded.
âPlease be kind with your cardsâ. Harry pleaded. âItâs YN Tomlinsonâ.
âWOOOOAAAAAH!â. JJâs voice filled the room. âThatâs mad!â.
âFuck me Bog, how did you get her number?â. Ethan teased, already searching for a prompt.
Tobi glanced over at Josh. âWe know how he got her numberâ. Hinting to their time at the festival.
âWe could have fun with this oneâ. Simon stated whilst flicking through the cards in his hands.
Harry let out a nervous chuckle not knowing how this may end. âWe havenât spoken for ages, so this is going to be fucking random anywayâ.
The others passed Tobi who was sat to the right of Harry their chosen texting prompts. âOkay, we have Playing a game, we rated you ____ out of 10â,
âUnless you say ten, Iâm not fucking sending that oneâ. Harry was quick to defend making the others laugh.
âI do think thatâs a believable one thoughâ. JJ voiced.
âNext one, ____ said youâre into me. Is it true?â.
Harry cringed. JJ laughed. Josh smirked towards Harry.
âOoooo!â. Simon exaggerated.
âImagine she just replies with a simple no?â. Vikk brutally added.
âImagine!â. Ethan teased. Already enjoying the game.
Tobi continued reading the cards. âGetting in the showerâŚđâ.
âThatâs a good one, very boldâ. Josh giggled.
âBut if they havenât spoken for a while, then surely she would think itâs a joke?â. Simon argued.
âFair pointâ. Vikk agreed.
Tobi picked another card. âThereâs a rumour going around about youâ.
Harry shook his head. âShe wouldnât even careâ.
âYou would say that!â. JJ spoke.
âNah I know what he meansâ. Ethan intervened. âHe means another rumour donât bother her considering how many there probably has beenâ.
âYeah think about it JJâ. Tobi agreed.
JJ nodded. âYeah, yeah, thatâs trueâ.
âOooo I like this oneâ. Tobi teased as he glanced at Harry with a smirk. The others waiting to hear. âYou, me, drinks - Friday night?â.
âOh fuck!â. Harry chucked nervously whilst covering his face with his hands.
âThatâs the one!â. JJ voted.
âBogs getting bold!â. Ethan cheered.
âThis is the oneâ. Tobi announced. âAre you going to send it?â.
Harry winced slightly, nervous at the potential reply. âYeah, yeah Iâll send itâ.
Harry typed on his phone, nerves running through his body causing him to overthink the game massively.
âSent!â. He smiled shyly.
As Tobi was about to choose his two cards, Harry felt his phone vibrate and glanced to see YNâs name tease him on the screen.
Ethan was quick to notice Harryâs shy smile. âHas she replied Bog?â.
âTell us!â. Simon demanded.
âLetâs see!â. Josh peaked at Harryâs screen. âWooow! Sheâs smoothâ.
âWhat did she say?â. Tobi asked with a kind tone.
âDo you have a date?â. Simon teased.
Harry only shook his head with a conscious smile, trying not to show how excited but nervous he was.
Knowing Harry could get awkward, Josh spoke for him. âShe said Drinks, huh⌠I guess I can pencil you in đâ.
âSheâs teasing you already!â. JJâs projected laugh filled the room.
âSheâs into you mateâ. Simon teased.
âGotta love a bit of flirty banterâ. Ethan awed.
Josh asked what everyone was wondering. âAre you going to go?â.
âYeah, yeah, course I amâ. Harry avoided eye contact, feeling too awkward to look.
Speaking to the camera, Simon commented âWell would you look at that, Hit Send could potentially set you up on a dateâ.
