meat eaters teach me your ways how does your heart not break not only when seeing a dead animal but also you're able to eat one without like being sad or anything??? i'm over here sobbing over the corpse on smb else's plate how do i stop being morally consistent help

No matter what you practice (veganism, vegetarianism, ...), in order to see the next day, you'll choose your life over the life of something else. Everything that we eat, everything that sustains us (and not just us, but all of life) was once living or came from a living thing. It emerged into life, and eventually we ate it to sustain our own. That's how this works. There is no point in going around blaming anyone for what they choose to use as sustenance. It's all horrible and inevitable when you take the time to really think about it. You can suffer or not. But to live, you will eat. To eat, you will claim the life of something else. And it's for an entirely valid purpose. This is how biological organisms are built. Derivatives or no, we require products of life to live.
