🪙 : what do they value more, loyalty or truth?

if you asked her, she'd tell you loyalty, but the real answer is truth. even if it would infuriate her at first, she'd appreciate it in the long run, because she knows that telling her the truth is actually the highest form of loyalty.

🚪 : who would they abandon if forced to choose?

literally anyone except her twin. she doesn't like to admit it, but she can almost flip a switch and force herself to stop caring for anyone, even someone she says is the love of her life. depending the situation, she would be able to leave cj for a very long time if she had to, she would just suffer a lot more.

🏃 : do they move their body to feel alive or to punish it?

i hate to keep saying "it depends" but it depends! she feels most alive when she's in a throng of people, sweaty and dancing to a beat that's rattling her heart in her ribs, but she also struggles with her body image and has exercised to the point of collapse in the past. she has a real love/hate relationship with her body.

🛏️ : how do they sleep when things are bad?

not well. even when things are good, she often keeps herself up until she's exhausted and literally can't stay up, and it's just worse when things are going bad. at least when she's exhausted, she knows she'll fall asleep quickly. usually...

🧠 : what do they assume people think about them?

jp is somehow extremely full of herself and insecure at the same time, so she's constantly oscillating between thinking people see her as a literal goddess and a grotesque monster. at this point, though, she knows people think she's a cunt, and that's on purpose.

🕰️ : what time do they naturally wake up when no one needs them?

look, jp is a very supportive girlfriend, but her patience has limits. morgan's been busy, spending basically every waking moment in the hot shop, because he's preparing for his super fancy gallery showing and he needs, like, way more pieces than he probably should have promised. she loves that he's getting to do what he loves for work, even if it means not spending time with her... it just means she's going out dancing more often than she would if he weren't as busy.

despite being on break from school between semesters, her body refuses to let her sleep in, even on the days when she's been out until three in the morning, so she's up before morgan, miraculously. she's zoned out and staring at the same video on her phone with one eye while the other is blissfully cooled by an ice pack held firmly to it, her free hand bringing up a cup to her lips that's filled to the brim with coffee.

that same coffee almost spills all over her as her boyfriend seems to appear out of no where, both of his hands on the table before her and a look of wild concern in his eyes as he stares at her. she stares back at him. there's a long moment before she speaks hesitantly.

"did you say something?"

"jp, christ, yes, what happened? who did this?" he lifts a hand for the ice pack and she pulls it away before he makes contact, raising a brow at him and letting an amused smile curl on her lips.

jp is taking a much needed and deserved break.

morgan's been spending more time in the hot shop to prepare for his upcoming show, which means jp has been spending more time in the hot shop, which means jp has been wearing less clothing. like now, for example, as she's wearing just a sports bra and extremely little jean shorts.

usually she'd be sitting in her special chair, but her legs were going numb from all the sitting, so she's currently half-bent over one of the rolling workbenches in the shop, her elbows on either side of her tablet as it quietly plays some reality show and her hands holding her head up as she watches.

when she feels the warm hand on her ass, jp looks over her shoulder at morgan and smirks, tucking her hair behind her ear as she tilts her head.

"see something you like, stranger?"

a pause.

everything is not fine.

jp may be little, but she's not walk-into-her-because-you-can't-see-her little, especially when she's wearing such a shiny outfit (she'd been on her way to the club, of course she's going to wear the holographic mini-skirt and boots combo she just bought), but this one seems to think he's going to get away with a bold ass lie. never likely, with her.

"you look like a fish out of water."

arms cross over her chest as jp slumps in the chair in the corner of joel's room, avoiding the stern look that's levelled at her by the younger man. they've been having issues for a few weeks now, and if jp was at all honest with herself, she's very much the cause of almost all of them, but she is not very honest with anyone, including herself. it's not really fair to joel, especially since they're not even dating.

"yeah, i meant that you should go to the gym or get a hobby, not bring an ugly twink home and flaunt him."

his gaze flicks over to joel before she's glaring at the ceiling again, pouting even more and crossing her legs. she'd maybe said some out of pocket comments to his hook-up. maybe.

"you're not taking this seriously," jp accuses with hands on her hips as she looks down at the other woman splayed out on her kitchen table, shirt drawn up and the side of her abdomen covered in sharpie. the blonde caps and drops the purple marker that'd she'd been using to map out the (approximate) venous anatomy of rue's abdomen onto her open textbook.

It's not like she's been completely unaware of something different going on.

morgan's hasn't been actually shirtless in front of her except during sex, and jp's not really paying attention to much when they're doing that, so she's never actually seen his scars. she could guess, though, from his reaction to her scars. he probably thought he played it off pretty well, but she's perceptive.

jp doesn't mean to walk in on him, she even thinks she's being pretty noisy, but the look of surprise on his face is mirrored on hers where she's standing in the bedroom doorway. there's no denying what she'd seen. and he'd been freaked out by her life-altering scar story? jesus christ, she wants to say, to echo his reaction to her.

but she doesn't.
