❝ bjorn trusted you without question and so you have my trust as well. ❞ she wishes to rule over kattegat in the same manner of those who had come before her: bjorn, lagertha & ragnar but she knows it will be difficult to follow such giants. however, it is of a comfort to know that she has ubbe rely on and just as she has said, she trusts him. it is true that he and bjorn have had differences in the past but the two brothers have always stood shoulder-by-shoulder. ubbe will help her to protect bjorn’s legacy.

                           Eyes widened as nimble fingertips sorted through various assortments of tops & bottoms, he couldnt quite fathom why Draven needed so many clothes. Various minutes had passed and yet he still didnt find what he was looking for. However, digits curled around one particular set of clothing which could only be described as freakishly small and quite feminine. He blinked once or twice before throwing the outfit onto the bed and bellowing out his brothers name “DRAVEN!” He stood there leaning against the door frame, before Draven could even utter a word he extended his arm gesturing to the outfit on the bed.

she points out, dark hazel eyes glimmering with both hesitation and unease. she wants nothing more than to believe him but the time she spent with henry had made her both jaded and suspicious. was he truly content with her or did he still pine for mary? she had tried, in her own way, to make a suitable wife as she knew they were bound together despite the hastiness of their marriage. in truth, she had genuinely come to care for bash far more than she could admit. kenna lets herself relax as she feels his hand rest against her face, tension melting from her shoulders as she manages a faint smile.

she has loved henry in every way that she knows how and yet, it seems as if it will never be enough for him. when he is not embracing his mistress, he is cavorting with other ladies of her court. why was it that he found diane to be so enchanting? what did the woman hold over his head? how could he choose someone like diane over someone like his wife? she had given him plenty of both sons and daughters and acted as an advisor. she was not some empty-headed fool who could so easily be cast aside.

he scoffs at him, shaking his head as though in utter disbelief. he has never quite enjoyed Aethelwold’s presence neither did he particularly consider him a friend. he was more a means to an end, someone that had to be around but there was always something like a lingering mistrust that clouded between them. something that told Uhtred never to look at him and offer him a means of friendship.
