Could your OC know Yumemi? The answer is: sure, it’s definitely possible! Yumemi started up her Peace Paint art therapy course at age fourteen, and she’s fifteen now, so she’s very much a recent phenomenon, as it were. She’s best known within her home Shizuoka Prefecture, but she’s known throughout Japan as a whole! The first trial of the Peace Paint course was done at her own old junior high school, after a tragic bus accident resulted in the deaths of some students, and she brought up the idea as a way to bring the school together and help heal the hearts of her aching schoolmates.This had some publicity itself, but it was her quick moves afterwards to start setting up Peace Paint as something everyone could be a part of and do that made it so she’d stay in the public eye.

The move she’s most famous for is from last summer, though, is when she announced that she was going to spend the break travelling all of Japan’s prefectures and bringing the Peace Paint course to everybody far and wide! (And she actually did it, the absolute madman.) She got a lot of her attention from this, with several online and general life&style outlets following her “Japan-wide tour” as it progressed, and a lot of town halls and culture centres and the like were eager to have her come visit, so! It’s certainly likely that Yumemi paid a visit to your OC’s hometown, and if your OC is interested in this kinda thing, who knows, maybe they even paid her course a visit!
