Scynthe had been ensuring everything went well for Winter Veil, along with Vivvienne, keeping the children occupied through all of the planning and celebrations. Their house had been loud and chaotic through the season, as all of the children were old enough to be a handful - except Bael, who seemed to always be rather muted when it came to excitement. This was probably the busiest yet, mostly because of Zephenaye wanting to help with -everything- in a way which helped create the biggest messes possible, but Scynthe wasn't about to deny her anything, especially if she had wanted to help out. Of course, helping out didn't always include the clean-up.
After the presents were opened and things were cleaned up, the children took off to the living room to play with their new toys, discarding the carefully-crafted clothing that they had received. After all, what kid really appreciated the clothing? Unless you counted Zephenaye's love of anything that had cute little animals all over it, especially ponies. Scynthe spent some time cleaning up in the kitchen, having read the note from Vivvienne and ensuring that when she got home, everything would be in order. Hopefully the kids would be worn out and ready for an early bedtime. He wanted to spend the night with his wife without interruptions. They hadn't managed to get much time together between their work, and they were overdue for a romantic evening. He, of course, wouldn't dream of making her a romantic dinner - that was a recipe for disaster. Instead, he ensured the leftovers from the previous evening's dinner would be heated by the hearth before she came home.
