I'm starting to collect Disney Animators dolls
You gotta have those friends that'll treat you with respect and not blink twice when you ask for an honest answer to a heaux question. God bless those friends.
A Desert Blessing, An Ocean Curse; Ariel, Serenity, Avalon, Charlie and Mariella
Warning- you may die from feels if you read on.
Mariella: was not at all taken aback by the slight harshness. Ari didn't want any of this, so it was to be expected. But Mariella thought as her friend, she should try to help her get what she needed, not what she wanted. It was a universally known fact that what we want is not always good for us. What Ari wanted, was to get drunk off her ass and avoid her problems, what she needed was to sort this out so she didn't lose a good friend (and quite frankly someone she had feelings for). "So, can't have more than one girl? And I don't mean in a bigamist kind of manner. Serenity...She means something to you, Ari and you know it. Whether this is friend or something more at this current moment is frankly irrelevant. I'm not saying it always will be. You don't want to lose her regardless of the status of relationship, right? You need to sort this." Mariella paused. "No. I'm saying you have to approach her and ask to talk. That's it. If she says yes-progress, if she says no, Coach Mariella says persist a little but walk away the bigger person if not."
Ariel: got to her feet, biting her lip. There were no more arguments to be made, she couldn’t fault any of what the other girl said. The fact it would be so much easier if she could shout bullshit and run back to the hotel, didn’t change the truth. “Alright, I’m going. Jeez, are you on the debate team because you should be?” she said, smiling her thanks rather than voicing it as she slowly walked down the beach towards the waves. At the last second, she turned back, seeking a final non verbal reassurance. “Thank god I’m a mermaid, right?”
Avalon: took the snacks from Charlie and smiled, "Honestly, anything we had would be fine right now, as long as I was with you." she said leaning in and kissing him lightly on the lips.
She shook her head as he was more worried about keeping her up then the fact that she said he snored. "No, not really....it's more of a slight dozing noise. It's really cute, and I didn't have the heart to wake you." she admitted, "Besides, I have no room to comment, I've been told I talk in my sleep." Serenity: saw Ariel approach, and immediately got out the water and shouted, "Hey!" Just to get out there easily, as she walked over to a random hotel guest and began flirting slash talking.
Mariella: smiled, half pleased that her friend was doing the right thing, half smug because she'd made her. Pride in a job well-done? Mariella would see if she had to rush over to stop them drowning each other. She laughed. "The Teacher sort of said the same thing." Mariella gave her a small wave of good luck. She hoped it went okay. She kept watching them until the point it felt rude and intrusive, she then turned back to the fire. Ariel: watched Serenity go (again) and felt more powerless than ever. She tasted salt that had nothing to do with the waves and everything to do with sadness she couldn't keep in.
Serenity: "Wanna see a handstand?" She asked the stranger and immediately showed off her mad skill(Z) and quickly landed with a face full of dirt, and the strangers leaving. "No wait I love you Lilo loves Stitch... Which is beastiality... Or Alien-ality? Either way I loved you." She slurred, spitting out some sand.
Charlie: kissed Avalon back eagerly, pressing against her lips with more want and need than was appropriate to display in public. He let his hands tangle in her auburn curls, he reluctantly pulled back from the kiss, giving her a tender peck on the nose, he pulled away smiling. He was never going to get sick of kissing her. He smiled, satisfied that he had not been snoring like a pig. "Yeah...you may have said some pretty eye-opening things this week." He winked cheekily, teasing her back.
Charlie kept looking towards the sunset, thinking in the most vomit-inducing way of how the colour of the sky reminded him of Av's hair. This was when he spotted a drama unfurl. They were close enough that he was sure he could hear someone audibly sobbing, like they had just received the worst news possible, like they'd just lost someone. It was Ari. Charlie immediately sprung to his feet "Shit!" he exclaimed and knew that if Avalon had also seen she wouldn't be far behind him. He reached the girl, who was indeed, sat crying in the sea and he offered out his arms to get her to her feet. He knew the water was warm enough now but he also knew she's sit there catching her death if they didn't help her. Fuck, he was willing to carry her to their blanket. He didn't know what had gone down but it oddly seemed to not matter. "Oh, sis, come on." He comforted.
Mariella: witnessed the whole sorry affair and immediately felt terrible for Ari. She had convinced her to go talk to Serenity and it had blown up in her face. Still; she didn't think anyone could expect such a reaction. Mariella's first reaction was to make sure Ari was okay, she was on her way over to comfort the girl when Avalon and...Charlie was it, reached her. They were good friends, Mariella gave a quick nod in their direction to ascertain they'd look after her all night and she felt confident they would. They better. She decided she could be of use by talking to Serenity. She wasn't about to have a shouting match, in some ways she felt almost as sorry for her, especially when she saw her fall on her face. Mariella walked over. "Serenity...you alright?" She asked.
Avalon: pulled him closer and kissed him back with as much fervour and passion as he had managed. Avalon groaned as he knotted his fingers in her hair and playfully nipped his bottom lip, at this moment she didn't care that they were at the beach in front of half the school, to her they were the only ones on the beach. She pouted slightly as he pulled away but decided that now was probably not the time and place. Though, if Avalon had it her way she would have never stopped kissing him.
She looked away frowning and slightly worrying over what she might have said in her sleep. The possibilities were endless, she was about turn and ask him when she saw just what had transpired between Ari & Serenity. She rushed off right behind Charlie but not before grabbing a towel from her bag. Opening the towel she waited for the other girl to walk in so she could wrap her in it and give her a hug. "It'll be alright." she said giving her a reassuring smile. Ariel: felt Charlie reaching out to pull her out of the water but couldn’t even raise her head to look at him. Muscle memory wasn’t enough, how could even that suffice when all the blood had ceased to be pumped around her body anyway? She was frozen, worse than the drowning sensation she experienced it the bathroom because that was still tinged with a hopeful kind of uncertainty. No such luck anymore. Ironically (maybe the correct term should be cruelly) it was a flash of red head that woke her up. “Did you see?” She croaked in a voice that sounded nothing like her own, before collapsing into Avalon’s waiting arms. “I don’t think there is hope anymore.” she whispered, a sob half buried in curls as she held tightly enough to pull them both down (and if not for Charlie’s steadying force probably would have.) Contrary to what she’d said in the cafe, it seemed impossible that even the redhead’s optimism and belief could carry her through this time. “Can I go home now...please.”
Charlie: held the girl's up, steadying their intense embrace. He had always thought that you could tell a lot about emotions from a hug. Some were so light, meaningless, barely registering in your arms, others were warm, inviting and strong enough to comfort and support you. This one with Ari; it was like dead weight, the depth of the emotion crushing them all. Charlie had not felt the urgency to remain strong like this for a long time. He may be aggrandizing his role slightly but he felt that physically and emotionally, if he collapsed from the pressure; they all would. It was important he was the rock for Ari to crash upon, if she needed. He said nothing, knowing Avalon was far better with words of comfort. That between them they could make it stop hurting enough for their friend to see some glimmer of hope, or at least be able to get some sleep.
Acting as their frame, he walked them up the beach, zoning out all the stares and shielding Ari from them totally between them. He attempted to sit her down on the blanket, taking one side. He broke his strong silence, his voice crackling slightly but he'd never sounded more confident of anything in his life. "You're home. You're home when you're with us." Charlie stated. Avalon: heart broke into a million pieces as she watched how shattered her friend had become. Avalon engulfed her into a giant hug and tried to soothe her, "Yeah..I did" she admitted quietly. Her mind flashed back to their conversation, at how hopeful she had been, hadn't that only a few days ago? What could have possibly changed that much in the short amount of time? She wanted to ask but one look at the poor girl in her arms and she decided to refrain from asking (at least for now.) "There's always hope, I promise you there'll always be hope too. You just need to believe in yourself like I believe in you." she soothingly ran her hand up and down the girls back. If there was one thing in the world she hated more than fighting with loved ones, it was seeing loved ones in such a tortured state. If Avalon could, she would opt to take away all the pain that Ari was feeling, It made her feel powerless that she couldn't offer her friend much solace. "You'll be back at Greenfield sooner than you think.....for now lets just sit down on the sand and watch the fire, alright?" she asked wiping away the fallen tears from Ari's face. She couldn't do much but at the very least she could be there for her, and as Avalon promised, she always would be.
Day 10
The Dress I wished I owned would easily be Ariel's beautiful blue and black dress!
It's so romantic and classic - but very everyday and simple. Not to mention the big bow is the perfect touch and represents my style very well!
I wish I had this dress so badly! :D

Italian Ice // Ariel & Phoebe
Phoebe shuffled into her dorm, tired from the run she'd just gone out on. "It's so hot outside," she grumbled to Ariel, who sat comfortably on her bed, flipping through Teen Vogue.
Phoebe huffed and flopped onto her own bed. "I need something to cool me down," she muttered. Ariel glanced up at her and smirked. They were both thinking the same thing.
"Lemme hop into the shower really fast," Phoebe said quickly, running to the bathrooms so that they could go out.
@ Ariel
Eric hoped the tea would help her feel better, knowing so little himself about what to do when one was sick. Usually, he just drank whatever soup or tea Carlotta dished out and then slept until it was over. A day or so at most. Once, he'd been stuck in bed for three days, but that was the maximum. The fourth sunrise found him preparing for a good sail.
But this was not so with Ariel. She wasn't better yet and that's what worried him as he watched her slowly sip the peppermint tea down.
He kneeled on the floor beside her side of the bed and waited.
