This stepmother dropped her into the forest and left her there, and that is where her second personality manifested itself into a boy named Rick. Whatever Stella said, Liam was still going to worry that his room smelt too much like ‘boy’. By now, he didn’t really notice it himself, especially having lived on top of four other boys for almost five years, but he’d had complaints. Girlfriends, friends, his mum. There wasn’t much he could think to do, but what he could, he did, which really ended up being lighting a candle of pinewood or some similar scent. To be frank, he hadn’t checked thoroughly, as he mostly reached into his candle stash and just pulled out the first one he touched.

Liam’s worries of his room’s smell probably were a projection of other types of worries, namely, the fact that he and Stella didn’t know each other all that well. Of course, in almost any relationship, there was a point where the people involved didn’t know each other well, but Liam dreaded that part. It tended to be awkward and like walking on eggshells. That was probably why he was so happy when he didn’t have to go through that with Zayn.

A deep sigh left her lips as she stared out the window. Yard workers manicuring the acres of lawn that she rarely got to fully enjoy. The constrictions of being royalty, of being next in line for a throne with no brothers meant Stella carried the pressure x2. Many people believed she wouldn’t be able to run a kingdom on her own so she would be married off to some prince from another land. It was not something she was particularly looking forward too since all the potential men were ugly or wimpy. How was she supposed to work with that to governor her people.
