First Christmas

As time went on, Khonshu decided that he would host as well - he saw all the requests for him eventually pile up. Sitting around, he began talking with the hosts about the holiday season. It made more sense why mortals would like the holidays - it was a time for togetherness, or something like that. He took notes as he sat with everyone, cycling through the customers and getting opinions on things - real tree or a fake one. If there should be a theme design or just if a store threw up in his apartment.
The god had risen with the sun one day - something that he normally would never do. Taking the bag that Hecate had gifted to him once, he set off to go shopping. He wasn’t sure what kind of theme, but he hoped that it would come to fruition as he went along. A real tree was too much work - he understood the smell was pretty but it wasn’t enough for him to justify it.
As he wandered through the aisles, the Christmas music began getting stuck in his head. Humming along to the songs he couldn’t help but feel the cheer that the customers told him about. He stuffed things into a cart, grabbing random items here and there. Eventually the cart was too full so he headed to the check out - things ringing up. The cashier told him about deals and since he bought things in multiples - he gets even more of them for free.
The magical bag was filled, and one would never expect the bag to hold hundreds of items - his apartment probably wouldn’t even hold everything but he wasn’t too sure. He found himself with the bag slung over his shoulder, trekking through the forest to get to Hecate’s place. He assumed she wasn’t home at the time - it was mid day but he never knew. Slowly he opened the door, trying to remain as quiet as possible. “Hec?”
