嘘 —> My muse singing and dancing in front of the mirror
嘘 — A hidden knot buried beneath layers of wet, disheveled hair snagged on the bristles of the brush, producing a sharp cry from the blond as he promptly pulled the brush away shortly after, nursing the back of his head with the open palm of a hand. Glancing at the bristles, much to his displeasure, Kano noticed a few strands of hair had been ripped clean out of his scalp; albeit, the few strands would not be missed, nor would they be noticeable to those viewing from the outside, but the great deal of pain he had to suffer at the expense of a few hairs gone astray from a single knot would not be so easily forgotten.
嘘 — Placing the brush to the side, Kano peered into his reflection for long moments in contemplative silence. Wherever that stray knot had come from, it definitely wasn’t going to leave his hair be without a fight. No matter. He’d figure out some way to get his hair knot-free, even if he had to endure a little pain to get there.
嘘 — For the time being, however, he had to select a song from his memory banks to hum to. He figured that, so long as he had something to distract himself from the pain, it would be much less of a hassle to brush through his hair. Plus, it was something he’d always practiced doing in the past, humming and singing songs to himself, whether to avoid the pain of getting tangles out of his hair or the bruises littering his skin. In some way, humming a little tune had become an outlet to the blond, a source of comfort when times were bad and proved to be inescapable.
嘘 — And hum he did. Once a song had been decided, the brush was picked up, and Kano merrily hummed to the tune of the song as the bristles started gliding through his hair once again. A time or two, his brush caught on an unexpected knot, but it was easily taken care of with a patient hand and a calmer approach. The song he’d chosen to sing was so catchy, in fact, that soon the blond began deviating from merely humming the song to full-out singing it. The brush converted from being used as a tool for his hair to a fake microphone, his body swaying side to side as the rhythm found its way into his limbs. His singing was growing exceptionally louder by the minute, his dancing becoming more energetic, more showy. In a way, Kano was enjoying himself quite a bit. The lyrics bubbled through his vocal cords and out into the open air around him as natural as could be. He could have sang his poor little heart out for ages, had it not been for the interruption of a voice piping up from behind.
嘘 — Kano’s singing quieted, his movement faltering. There was such a wide array of emotions swimming through his system as he stared blankly at his sister that he could hardly tell how to feel, how to react to this awkward turn of events. “N- Nee-chan…?” was the best response he could muster to catching hold of her presence in the doorway, his eyes blinking rapidly as he waited with baited breath for her reaction.

嘘 —> My muse in nothing but a towel
嘘 — Stripped of his clothes, the water ceaselessly beating against his back, Kano took a moment to relax in the splendor of the nice, hot shower, hands coursing through choppy blond bangs, heated liquid running its way along his body. It seemed he never had the chance to enjoy showers like he use to, and given the unusual silence hanging around the apartment, he couldn’t dismiss the suspicion that this peaceful time alone was a blessing in disguise. He wondered what could possibly be going on today that had managed to take every last member of the Dan to partake in. Nonetheless, his curiosity was pushed aside, and he stepped out of the shower with a deep inhale, noting the steam clinging to the mirror, the small puddle of water pooling beneath bare feet, the droplets that still dribbled down his skin, refusing to let go of their resolute purchase along the contours of his body. Slowly, his mind came to process these things around him, the steady flow of life— he could very well remain in this silent reverie for a century, maybe more, if not for the fact that he was missing something vital.
嘘 — On his way to the bathroom, Kano failed to remember to swipe the towel off his bed before wandering off.
嘘 — He had a Hell of a price to pay for his forgetfulness. But wait— there wasn’t anyone inside the base right now aside from him, was there? Yes, yes… This could work. This could still work. He could slink out of the bathroom and grab his towel as if nothing had happened, as if he hadn’t been so carelessly forgetful and came to a late realization that the towel was not in his possession.
嘘 — The blond poked his head out of the opening in the door he’d made himself, eyes scanning the area carefully, hand stalled over the doorknob. Silence. From the looks of it, no one had returned as of yet. Now was his chance. Stepping out, Kano hurriedly sped down the hallway and into his room, throwing the door shut without the slightest hesitation, cringing at the resounding slam despite being the apartment’s only occupant. Finally. He’d made it without a scratch on him. Now, about that towel…
嘘 — No more than five seconds did he take hold of the towel and began to wrap it around his waist before he heard the faint sound of the doorknob twisting behind him. He froze. Towel hanging loosely about his frame, Kano slowly twisted his head around— only to come face to face with none other than Kido herself. Oh God. This was not good. This was not good at all.
嘘 — "I wonder, is there anyone around today?"
ROBOTS OR DINOSAURS?
嘘 — Well, robots were always the most preferable option when it came down to it. Then again, dinosaurs were just as preferable as robots… Oh, the choices! In the end, it all boiled down to one sole decision, and that decision would be—
嘘 — “Why not both?”
