Chatzy chose: Heidi Thirlwell
Heidi Thirlwell: Heidi wasn't one to complain about a good night of clubbing. The grinding, the drinking, the overall partying had always been appealing to her-- it was an opportunity where her flirting could be completely obvious, yet no one could call her out on it, and it was always amusing to watch a beeline of men trail after hair, eyes set on the hem of her skirt. However, this rave had been far more stuffy and full of people than she'd anticipated, and she found herself wanting to leave fairly early in. She took out her phone to call a car to come pick her up, but there was no signal and the exit seemed to be blocked by a group of people crowding around a pair of men throwing punches at each other. Unwilling to get caught in the crossfire, Heidi ducked into a poorly lit tunnel and held up her phone, flicking the flashlight on. She kept her eyes trained on the signal bar that was now completely empty, and simply walked forwards, venturing deeper and deeper into the catacombs in search for signal. "Come on," she muttered after a while. "Just come on."
The Killer: They'd been patrolling the catacombs, looking for victim number two. Surely someone would cross their path again, dumb luck had been on their side already once tonight. After an internal debate on practicality, they'd decided to keep the ax for a little while longer. It was large, hard to conceal. But the rush they had felt from chucking it into their first victim's flesh had been like nothing they'd felt before, and so against their better judgment they allowed themselves to use it once more. They heard a voice ahead of them, and stopped abruptly. Looking around, they quickly back tracked to a side-chamber they had just passed, leaving their ax behind for a few moments. They jogged back out to where the voice had came from, and approached the other with a smile. "It's no use, this is more or less a dead zone." They indicated to the phone in her hands.
Heidi Thirlwell: Heidi hadn't stepped into the catacombs in over a year, and one of the few things she could remember from her past experiences was how eerily quiet and lonely the catacombs were. The faint sound of the bass from the rave was growing fainter, and Heidi had expected to step into silence-- not to hear a voice only a few metres behind her. She jumped in shock, crying out in surprise as she did so and dropping her phone. She quickly bent down to pick it up, and wasn't surprised when she saw a large crack on the screen. "Well, fuck." Her tone was bitter and annoyed at the person who had startled her, and turned around to point the flashlight at them-- only when she'd dropped her phone, the light had stopped working, so Heidi stored the device in the pocket of her black dress. "We're in the catacombs, surrounded by people. You shouldn't sneak up on someone like that."
The Killer: "Wow jumpy, much?" They laughed, watching her pick up the broken phone. As the light went off, they fished around for their own cell phone. They switched on the flashlight, careful not to shine it in her face. "Sorry about your phone, come one, you can't say that was my fault." They looked around the path they were in, listening for any sign of others near them. The last thing they needed was to be placed talking to someone who was about to be killed. Turning back to the woman, they offered another smile. "The party is kind of underwhelming, right? I got out of there, decided to come look around a little bit. What about you?" They asked curiously, making innocent conversation.
Heidi Thirlwell: Heidi was glad when the light was turned on-- she would've been very creeped out talking to someone in the darkness, surrounded by dead bodies. She cleared her throat as he spoke, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, and raised an eyebrow when the other described the party as underwhelming. "Do you think so? I actually thought it was /over/whelming. There were far more people than I thought would show up-- and I haven't had enough drinks to deal with all the annoying people in here. I swear, it must be some kind of record," she said with a chuckle. "I was just looking for some signal to call someone so I could get out of here, maybe go to a quieter place, like a nice bar."
The Killer: They shrugged. "More people than I had expected, but it's too tame for my liking. I've seen a handful of people on ex, and that's about the highlight of the excitement." Well. Aside from them beheading a man not twenty minutes prior to this conversation. "Getting to the bar was a nightmare. I gave up on trying to get a drink after thirty minutes of being ignored." They nodded thoughtfully, as if the woman's plan seemed an ideal way to spend the rest of the night. "That sounds eons better than being here, but I'd hate to waste the trip to the catacombs without exploring. Wouldn't you?" They offered another charismatic smile.
Heidi Thirlwell: Tame. Since she hadn't stumbled into any couples practically having sex with their clothes on, and only one particularly nasty fist fight. Yet the night was still young, she thought, and rather than sticking around to watch things get unpleasant, Heidi was set on leaving. But this person seemed charming enough, and a small smile crept onto her lips despite the desire to leave the place. Maybe a bit of adventure couldn't hurt. "Well...I guess a bit of exploring won't hurt. But stay close-- I wouldn't want to trip on anything, and my phone seems to have broken."
The Killer: They grinned, happy to see her accept their proposal. Happy to have her walk herself into their trap, rather than them having to drag her kicking and screaming. "Alright, I just passed this...I don't really know what it was? It was kind of creepy." They smiled, trying to describe the sight to the beautiful woman in front of them. "I think it was some sort of alter? Or maybe it was a casket? I didn't get a good look at it in the dark." They held their hand out to her, offering to lead her there so she didn't trip. "I wouldn't want that either."
Heidi Thirlwell: She hadn't expected to be flirted with in the catacombs-- that much. But when the other's hand was offered to her, Heidi took it without hesitation, even giving them a smile as she did. "Sounds interesting. Do you think you could show it to me?" Heidi was no fool, in fact, she was very smart and had been planning on applying to a university soon to get an actual job. One that wouldn't get her frowns when she introduced herself, one that wouldn't make everyone think of her as little more than a sex doll. But this person was attractive, and they were flirting-- so why not? "I'm glad, chérie."
The Killer: "I'd love to." They agreed with a small grin, holding her soft hand gently in their own. They shone the light out in front of them, keeping careful watch of anything that either of them could trip over. "Kind of exiting, right? Fumbling around in the dark?" They asked her, turning their head to her for a brief moment before looking back ahead. "It stills seems so odd to me, all these bodies..and they just let whoever come in, and do what they want? Seems...disrespectful?" They said thoughtfully, leading her into the small chamber they had seen earlier. They let go of her hand, shining the light into the middle of the room where a stone slab long enough to lay on sat. The room was lined with bones, a rather macabre audience waiting for what was about to occur.
Heidi Thirlwell: They seemed to be keeping up the flirting, so Heidi was set on doing the same thing, and flashed them a grin when their head was turned towards her. "Well, it's not like they could really close them off either. The catacombs are very important, historically and all. You can tell a lot about what society was like from looking around. Fascinating, isn't it?" It wasn't often that Heidi spoke about things that didn't have any sexual innuendos, but this was only one person, and they didn't seem to be bored by her words. She usually avoided intellectual remarks, since many potential clients found them boring, but this felt a bit different-- possibly because of the alcohol fogging up her brain. "Wow. This isn't what I expected...but it seems nice," she mused, walking towards the slab and sitting on it with her legs stretched out in front of her, now looking sideways at the other. "Come join me," she said, her voice almost a purr as she tapped the space next to her on the slab
The Killer: They nodded, listening to her response. She was thoughtful in her words, and they smiled warmly as she spoke. "Yes. it really is." They replied, watching her walk in front of them and sit on the cold slab. Watching her, their eyes lifted slightly to look behind her and identify the outline of the ax they had sat down against the back wall of the room. "Nice isn't the word I would have chosen." They let out a small amused sound, finally joining her on the slab. "It is beautiful in a way though." They said the words, while looking at her.
Heidi Thirlwell: Heidi smiled and shifted to make more room for them on the slab, crossing a leg over the other. She couldn't see their eyes miss her for a second with the darkness surrounding the two of them, and simply watched as they joined her. "I wouldn't call it beautiful, that's a bit much. We're surrounded by dead bodies, after all. But I'm glad I'm with a nice person," she flirtily added.
The Killer: Their grin widened at her last comment. "A nice person?" They held a hand up to their mouth to cover their laughter. They'd done such a good job keeping it together up until this point. She hadn't suspected a thing; They'd found it hilarious. "Non." They shook their head, forcing the amused look on their face away to give her a more serious one. "Non, I'm afraid I'm /not/ a nice person." They cocked their head to the side slightly, running a tongue over their lips. "But, then again, neither are you." They stared at her for a moment, waiting to see her reaction before finally launching their palm at her, smashing her head down onto the stone slab. They stood, quickly retrieving the ax.
Heidi Thirlwell: Her smile suddenly fell when they started laughing-- it wasn't a friendly laugh, but rather one that made her blood run cold and made the hairs on her arms raise. She hadn't even started questioning anything until then, but once they started shaking their head, Heidi could feel that something was wrong and had pressed both hands against the slab to push herself up and flee before their eyes met hers. Heidi's breath caught in her throat in that suspense-filled moment, and she quickly attempted to get up but was instead knocked down by their hand. Her head hit the slab and she let out a high pitched shriek as she crumpled to the floor, blood trickling down from both a new cut that had appeared in her forehead with the fall and her nose, which had also been hit in the impact. Heidi reacted quickly by trying to scrambling to her feet and she screamed once more when she saw the weapon in their hands, immediately starting to run away from them, into the darkness of the tunnels.
The Killer: By the time they had turned back to her, they saw her pushing herself off the floor. They shook their head, stepping after her with haste as she began to run for the exit of the chamber. "No! You're not supposed to run!" They screamed after her, their voice filled with rage. No. They were not prepared to chase her throughout the tunnels. There were too many variables, too many things that could go wrong. They wouldn't have control if she escaped them now. They reached her after what seemed like ages, just barely gripping onto the ends of her hair and yanking her backwards towards them. "You're not listening to me!"
Heidi Thirlwell: When Heidi heard their voice behind her, growing closer and closer, it made her eyes burn with tears. She desperately wiped at the blood that was obstructing her vision, from the cut on her forehead, and did her best to run faster despite the heels that made it hard and her lack of vision. Faster, she told herself, go faster. Tears nd blood were making everything blurry, her hairstyle had been completely wrecked and her hair was tangled and loose behind her, some strands glued to her face by sweat and the blood. Suddenly she felt the pull, and cried out as she fell backwards, rolling over once or twice. There was a sharp pain from her ankle, but Heidi refused to let that stop her and tried to crawl away from them on all fours. Her dress now had a tear in the shoulder, her face was bleeding, her ankle was probably sprained and Heidi found herself sobbing but she was hellbent on staying alive, and when she found herself in front of a wall, she rolled over and sent a kick in their direction.
The Killer: The scene that was playing out before them was something straight from a horror film. The blonde damsel ran, ran, ran as fast as their skinny little legs would allow her to go, but as in every horror film she just wasn't fast enough. Blood and tears ran down her face, and they clucked their tongue at the sight of her sobbing in front of her. "You shouldn't have ran." They explained softly, looking at her with a sorrowful expression. "It would have been so much easier for you if you hadn't ran." They watched her begin to crawl from them, trying desperately to keep on. She was a fighter, unlike Sebastian. If time had allowed them, they would have liked to let this go on. See what else she would come up with, to try and save herself. They stepped around her, pressing down on the ankle she twisted. "Turn over. Look at me." They commanded, in a calm voice, pressing their foot down harder. They held the ax at their side.
Heidi Thirlwell: Their expression was making her stomach twist and her stomach drop. It was draining every bit of hope from her like the blood that was dripping from her face. "Ow!" The cry was instinctive as she felt the pressure on her ankle and she tried to pull it away, but their grip was strong and would not let her writhe away from their grasp. She hesitated before doing as they said, turning over. Her whole frame shook when she saw the blade by her side and once again, Heidi fought. She struggled against their grip and spat at the attacker, a mixture of blood and saliva, and tried to writhe again. Unfortunately, it was no use-- the pressure on her ankle kept her glued in place. "Help!" Heidi turned her head around, screaming the word over and over again, each time louder. She knew that talking to the person holding her down was futile, and focused on trying to attract someone's attention.
The Killer: Their expression contorted into one of annoyance at her screams. No one was listening. No one would come to her aid. Why did she persist? "Help! Help!" They screamed back at her. "No one can hear you! No one is coming!" They explained, their free hand waving in the air to get their point across. "You remind me of someone I once knew." They said, cocking their head in thought. "She was a cunt too." They lifted the ax high, high, high above their head, bending forward with the force of the throw as they brought the weapon down into her stomach. The skin tore open, organs and blood pooling out beside her as they brought the ax up for another slice. "It's like a magic trick, isn't it?" They asked, bringing the ax down once more and severing her torso from her lower half. "It's like a magic trick."
Heidi Thirlwell: Heidi ignored their mocking of her screams, anger bubbling from the pit of her stomach. Heidi dug her elbows into the ground, not caring about them getting scraped, and tried to drag herself backwards. Suddenly, her eyes widened as she saw them raise the weapon. "No, no, no--" The word was said over and over again as she struggled against their grip, paying little to no attention to whatever they said. Their insults were meaningless when Heidi knew that right now, her life was on the line. She cut herself off with a scream louder than any before. Heidi's eyes were wide open, adrenaline pumping through her veins. She felt hardly anything other than fear and a desire to get out of there, but Heidi knew that it was hopeless when everything started to blur and go dark. She could only glance down at her body, now split in half, and she could no longer prop herself up by the elbows. Heidi fell back, her head hitting the stone, and knew that there was no hope. She could only force her eyes to open one last time, staring at the other dead in the eye. "F-Fuck you," she managed to mutter, her voice a barely audible whisper. And for the last time, Heidi Thirlwell closed her eyes.
The Killer: Her choice of last words left them impressed by the woman's gall. They looked down at her, removing their foot from her leg finally. They thought the first kill had been messy. This was...this was something else all together. They licked there lips, looking down at Heidi's innards and wondering how long it would take someone to find her. They didn't feel like cleaning it up, nor did they have time. But they knew leaving her here would ultimately fuck them over. Tossing the ax to the ground, they picked up the severed bottom half of her body, dragging her by the feet into a little more off the path location. "Just like a magic trick." They repeated once more, before beginning to whistle to themselves as they worked.
