I want to tell a story
Eight years ago, I was at a random thrift store with friends and saw these statues
These are the girls
$27 for the whole lot but I was very broke at the time so I didn’t get them. I’ve been thinking about them ever since
I started doing research maybe five or so years ago and finally discovered what they’re very rare Italian import terracotta statues from the 1940’s and that they tend to go for $300+
I kick myself every day for not buying all three of them
Then I found her for $45
When I tell you I was sO excited to open this package
I found the one with the pointy hat who caught my attention first for about $100 and she’s on her way to me. I can’t wait
The one in the middle is so so rare I’ve never been able to find her anywhere. I’m determined to have the whole set but she’s going to take much longer to find. There’s no list or documentation anywhere that I can find that shows all three or more statues so the only reason I know she exists is because I saw her eight years ago
I will find her
I wanted to celebrate finding and buying two out of three and set the stage in case I find the third one so I can be even more excited to find her
