Ch. 128 [Spoilers]
My phone won't let me insert photos...just btw. I'll reference page numbers (I use mangatown) but they may vary slightly depending on reason source. LET US BEGIN. I'll address the surprises as the roll along. Page 7 when Prince Soma made eye contact with the young master, he immediately snapped. Prince Soma loved him, so CLEARLY he thinks that the young master did something wrong to have attacked him like that. However, the young master clearly has no idea (in general: debatable. Currently: clueless) since he just arrived home with Sebastian. It's even stated on the following page that Prince Soma seems confused. If he saw someone that resembled the young master that killed his Agni, it's natural that he would attack said person. (He doesn't know about this twin plot--) I think the young master gradually catches on as he gets more and more disturbed he mentions that Soma should have stayed out of his business. (His FAMILY business.) It actually almost looks like the young master is on the verge with all his huffing (remember they mentioned a sickly boy when he was growing up?), but let's us continue. THE REAL KICKER: PAGE 13. "Who stole the candy from my tummy?) Creepy. Out of all the rooms, the young masters room was chosen. They could have carved in it the entry way, in the living room, but the attacker made a point of specifically choosing that room and leaving all the other rooms - more or less - unscathed. I think this carving is a reference from the wee early chapters. In the flashbacks we get of the time when Sebastian was summoned, we see a boy (no face shown, mind you) that has just had his stomach stabbed in by the men sacrificing them. In this sacrifice, it allowed the young master to come into contact with Sebastian. We also saw the young master screaming at another child in the cage they shared when the men were taking him away. There was two of them, now there is (what is believed) one. He then took the role of heir even though he was the sickly one growing up. Naturally, the position would go to the healthiest one. I think the young master "stole" his brother - the real Ciel's - life (so to say) from the moment his stomach was gouged. I thought the candy bit of this portion was strange if we are truly being referenced the the past; a time when they were locked away and practically starved. Definitely no candy involved. But I thought about it more. The Phantomhive's MAKE candy. Ciel's life of being an heir to a "candy" fortune (weird choice of words) was "stolen" by the young master when his "tummy" was stabbed giving the finishing touches to Sebastian being summoned. Nonetheless, the message 120% does not sit well with the young master. Petrified would be a word I would use in this situation. When the picture that Agni gave Prince Soma falls from his unconscious hand, the young master proceeds to lose it a little more. The picture I assumed was a portrait of the twins. If this was the case, it would definitely be a slap in the face of who is responsible. The young master still looks like he is ready for that panic attack. The whole "young wouldn't lie to me" came off a little confusing. I think it may be because of the beating around the bush on who the real intruders are in this situation. It looks like Sebastian is almost disappointed(?) and reassures him that he does not tell lies. Why the young master looks more distraught, confused me more. Maybe it's cause they both know that one another knows who truly did this. Please feel free to message me or comment with rebuttals. I'd love to hear some other prospectives!! Also, excuse any typos or whatnot. Excitedly typing away on a smart phone does not always bode well. On a random side note: I really like how Sebastian hasn't called the young master Ciel this entire time...
