thinking about jimmy leaning heavily into scar as deputy, in an attempt to be like hmph see fwhip and kind of crushing on scar a bit but then like. scars gonna have to leave!! and jimmys gonna have to deal w that!! and fwhips still gonna be there!!! idk idk. rotating in my brain
i think he knows scar will have to leave and he's preparing for it. jimmy's laying his affections on thick, the deputy badge and the jellie cat given to scar in the same day. i think he's trying to say, stay with me. but scar will leave and i don't think he'll even hesitate on the issue because he's never been in tumble town for jimmy. if he hadn't caught sight of the badge day one he probably would have moved on. now that he has what he wants, why would he stay?
and when jimmy is alone again for the first time in what feels like forever, how will he respond? will scar's leaving motivate him to mend things with fwhip or will he take it to mean that no matter how much effort he puts into his relationships with other people it will never matter?
scar invites jimmy to scarland's grand opening and he is soo excited about it bc its been a while since they've seen each other and yeah it was a little weird that scar asked over the phone if jimmy was still small first but whatever! he's gonna see his deputy again :) he gets there nice and early just like scar asked and the park hasn't opened yet bc its so early so he thinks he's getting a special tour or something. and then scar pulls out a jimmy sized cat costume and um. hm! wonder who thats for. so he asks. and scar says oh! youre gonna be the mascot for the opening week haha :) and jimmy has to have a really hard think about what hes willing to put up with (he wears the costume in the end)
