Since there’s a lot of history here…

So, back to Marmar:

THEY MET WHEN KOTONE WAS YOUNG

WHEN MARMAR WAS AN AZURILL, SHE ALMOST DROWNED IN A STREAM WHEN SHE FELL OVER INTO IT

AND KOTONE SAVED HER

AND NURSED HER BACK TO HEALTH

She then brought her back to Marmar’s mommy but Marmar kept wanting to follow Kotone

So Kotone visited her every day for a week

Then got busy one day and couldn’t visit so Marmar wandered and tried to find her

AND GOT LOST BUT KOTONE FOUND HER

She brought her back to Marmar’s mommy, who was really grateful, but Marmar was gonna cry again…

She was very torn, b/c she loves her mom but she really liked Kotone for taking so much care of her and

Marmar’s mommy noticed so she asked Kotone to take care of Marmar

So that’s how Marmar became Kotone’s first pokemon!!

She evolved into a Marill quickly b/c FRIENDSHIP

When she reached the level at which she was gonna evolve again, she got scared and stopped, so Kotone gave her an everstone so everything was all good again

Some PT stuff happened, Marmar fell in love with Piplup

But because Kotone started to drift apart from Hikari, she didn’t get to see Piplup as often as before

On top of that, Marmar didn’t get to participate in the Pokeathlon anymore

She tried helping Kotone out around the daycare, but she started to feel like she was getting in the way, and was getting all quiet and withdrawn…

So the next time Hibiki came to visit her, she talked to him about whether he still hung out with Hikari, and if he would bring Marmar with him?

Marmar and Kotone cried a lot but Marmar’s happier because she can do more things now and Kotone is happy she’s happy

(And since she still keeps in touch with Hibiki she gets updates on her ya)

Flint

was her first still

I’m going to keep a lot of what Melody has told me about how they got together (except maybe the Proton bit because two adult men vying for her???)

She just found it fun to flirt with him at first; it was sort of a game, but she started to genuinely become interested in each other

They grew really close and eventually they did it - the next day, she asked him to be her boyfriend

And it just. took off from there!

They had such a honeymoon phase, and they were clingy and wanted to spend all their time together, but Flint became too overprotective

It came to a point where they argued, and Flint said he was in love with her, but… Kotone wasn’t quick to return the statement

She liked him lot, and she liked being with him and stuff, but it kind of scared her when he used the word “love”. It started dampening the “honeymoon”, and it felt like after falling into it so fast, they were bound to crash.

It made Kotone a little uncomfortable and knowing that Flint could tell something was off, she broke it off

She cried a whole lot about it and stuff, and after a bit of time, she thought that she made a mistake and they got a got back together. Well, sort of. They kind of hooked-up a few times when they weren’t seeing anyone but.

It started to be less frequent and she started to actually develop feelings for Khoury, so…

They eventually stopped.

At one point, later on, some time when she broke up with Khoury and Flint was single, they almost hook up again - but Flint stopped it from happening.

It took a while for her to register what Flint meant to her, and when she kept going back to him, but with some time staying away from him, she figured it out.

She avoided him for about four months, but… when they started to speak again, it became easy to be friends again - especially since they were in committed relationships.

She has a soft spot for him because she was her first in many things

She hasn’t kept up with what he’s been up to, though… hopefully that changes, she still would be friends with him

Khoury

SO, Khoury started off as a friend

They went on their Johto journey together and stuff, but afterwards, Khoury went to learn more about pokemon breeding at some college I guess??

But they kept in touch and stuff

He came back a while after she broke up with Flint, so she kind of spent time with him initially to distract herself from thinking about Flint, but

Eventually she started to think she liked him

So, she stopped hooking up with Flint and

Well, knowing Khoury, she initiated the relationship.

But he started to get busy with things, to the point where he was ignoring her, and she broke up with him.

They’re still friends though, after he eventually apologized and made an effort to keep in touch with her better.

She supports his work of being a breeder now, though!

Hikari

SO THEY BECAME FRIENDS WHEN THEY MET IN JOHTO AND THE REST IS HISTORY

BUT….. YEAH.

I’m just gonna use that. Her grandmother suddenly got ill. So, I’ll talk about that at the end BUT

Kotone got so busy with everything that was happening with her family and the daycare she started to drift apart from a lot of people, especially Hikari…

Sorry Hikari

I can’t… replicate this one perfectly

It got to the point where she… Like, she neglected their friendship for such a long time she kind of didn’t know how to pop up and say HI. I’M SORRY. UH. THINGS… HAPPENED… AND I… nope scratch that CAN I START OVER

But she’s been more active lately and things “resolved” SO!!!!!!

Hibiki

CHILDHOOD FRIENDS

Eventually ended up being MORE than friends

BUT NO PREG SCARE

Just… the Slowpoke Tail Protest took up all her time… yeah……..

Marmar thought they were cute together

But yeah, after the protest, Kotone realized she missed him and apologized about ignoring him and they decided to stay friends? Does that sound right?

But I’m guessing that they’re better as friends than bf + gf? hm

Yeah, I will need to talk to Ama some more but like, I can see Koto coming up with silly ideas and asking Hibiki if he’d go along with them

And even vice versa and that Koto would be up for almost anything

Which could end up dangerous

I’ll revisit this again when it’s not 2 am in the morning

Kris

Childhood friends

Well, friendly acquaintances through Hibiki and their families

B/c Filipino family parties are awks for kids honestly

But I can kinda see Kotone thinking that Kris’ hair was really pretty and cool and wanting to ask about it but kinda thought she would sound stupid

but then one day she did ask and she did sound pretty stupid!!

Anyway, I think she actually admires Kris? For going on her journey before she did and how she seems to have a level head on her shoulders

I think when they were younger b/c Hibiki invited them to so many things together they did reach a point where they were pretty good friends but

Once Hibiki and Kris went on their journeys, Kris and Kotone kinda naturally drifted apart

But that’s okay

I think Kotone would be happy if she could get to know her again

Red and Green

They’re like big brothers to her!!

She used to visit Red on the mountain every once in a while before she got busy at the day care

She also liked to visit Green at the lab while she was at it until he went to Kalos
