They say that foxes are bad omens, And will bring bad luck to those who are in it’s presence. They will steal the thing you value without as much as a sign they were once there.
Whether that sort of urban legend stands true in this day and age, no one knows. But a fox will always be a fox, no matter how it’s destiny is shaped. Boots crunched against the debris of the wreckage that perhaps, once was a huge mansion. Decay and moss encroached upon the walls of what used to considered a dangerous building--but with sunlight peaking through the ceiling and each and every crevasse, it was hard to believe such a tale. “And here I thought that old man gave me a hard job--there’s barely anything here. Dustier than his breath, too.” The snide comments echoed, as the man continued his exploration of this place. But why here, of all places? It was merely some dirty work for some money, and Asin was the right guy for it.
“Geez, this place looks like it went through a war or two. Kind of a shame, probably had potential.” He talked to himself, hunching over to push some debris away, trying to find something to bring back to his client. Treasure? Books? Who knew. He just decided to take whatever was left behind by time--good or not. Book and pages scattered around, torn portraits of perhaps the owner of the mansion--she was rather lovely looking. So he thought to himself, as he made his way towards the second floor. Maybe that had something worth looking for.
