I presume the source of this misinformation is a Tumblr blog that shared this post, which seems to solely base their interpretation from what they heard in the anime.

Since the pic is blurry, this person basically assumed Hisoka used the verb “やる” which very literally translates to the verb “do” and can be interpreted as various things due to its ambiguous meaning in Japanese, including “to fuck”. As Hisoka’s hand signal is a gesture for sex, it’s fair why this person assumed he might’ve meant sex. 

HOWEVER, this is why reading the actual source (the original dialogue in the manga) is important. As pointed out by Japanese fluent manga readers who checked the actual panel, Hisoka uses the verb “殺る” (yaru) which sounds exactly like “やる” (yaru) except the kanji explicitly indicates he meant kill. Hence, only the readers seem to be aware that he actually meant kill.

He basically made a “that’s what she said” joke where he meant one thing but he wanted it to sound like something else (likely to trigger Illumi’s bloodlust). Here’s the panel where I circled it.

It is also pointed out by people that he uses the exact same wording for “kill” when he talks about killing Chrollo in Yorknew. Here’s the panel where I circled the same verb.

Hence, another opportunity to make the “do” pun, as he has a boner here lmao.
